Could it be because I dont max out on my credit card and it doesnt have a £10k limit and at 25% interest will earn them thousands???
    No…it won’t be.
  • Don't see why you're calling BS here
I'm not calling BS, I'm interested to know how a Jag can fit into a shed (which has now suddenly become a garage).
The garage/shed whatever I decide to call it will be 10M by 10M and 3.5M high. Do you need any further spec on the shed/garage/whatever   to satisfy you??? As to the cash I keep in my current account, its currently £105K. I am about to pay deposits/groundworks and a car I have just bought??  Any other info you need ???

I also found this on barclaycards website concerning credit checks.

Here are some of the factors that can harm your credit score:
    • a history of late or missed payments
    • going over your credit limit
    • defaulting on credit agreements
    • bankruptcies, insolvencies and County Court Judgements (CCJs) on your credit history
    • making too many credit applications in a short space of time
    • joint accounts with someone with a bad credit record
    • frequently withdrawing cash from your credit card
    • errors or fraudulent activity on your credit report that’s not been detected
    • not being on the electoral roll
    • moving house too often.
NONE of these apply to me!

Our credit score...which I checked after...(form the first time in 10 years) came in at 650.
While it's true that credit scores are largely meaningless, there's often some narrative commentary available via the credit agencies, highlighting negative factors that may influence lenders - is there anything like that on what you're looking at? On what scale is the 650 anyway?

Perhaps worth checking your credit files held by the other agencies, as there isn't a universal system and not all credit information is available to each agency:

Ultimately, however, any institution can decline applications for any reason, and they don't have to share these, so don't take it personally, and vote with your feet....
  • spoke to santander and they said I made 2 applications,  both joint.....one was rejected and the second is with their underwriters,,   something isnt right
  • Spoke to yet another agent and everything the previous person said was !!!!!!. It now turns out I made 1 application which was rejected. hence I cant fill in their info/doc hub. It is baffling and annoying as this agent now cant/doesnt know why my application was rejected. So HOW   T F can I find out why if they wont/cant tell me.

As above, they're not obliged to explain their decision to you, but you could always submit a subject access request to their data protection officer (details will be in their published privacy policy), which might unearth something not visible to front line call centre staff, although still unlikely to be particularly meaningful.

No, that will suffice for now, I am entirely satisfied, thank you for providing the specs. I shall be sure to come back to you should I need any further information on the shed/garage/whatever (or the Jag).

    Initial £50K pa income.
    Then 65K.

£50K in current account at all times.
But only for a shed and a Jag.
Well spotted! Bit of a stretch for both a Jag F (second hand I presume?) and a shed. Why would you put a Jag into a shed, and how would it fit? 🤷
The shed/garage is 10m by 10m think that will be big enough. Funds, deposits /groundworks etc etc. F types are £20k and up
Stuff the Jag, make it a man cave with a snooker table!
