Why not use the optical connection between the TV and sound bar if the TV has one.
That TV is 20 years old with TWO scart sockets - no optical.

And why would you use it?

The soundbar claims to have Dolby Atmos capabilities but optical connections dont support Dolby Atmos so why downgrade to optical and lose Atmos when you can use HDMI and get benefit of the top tier sound the device supports?
