Phone company wont renew contract as they dont recognise my UK address

.....Well, not really....the house name shows up, with  a "partial address".....but it doesnt show the house number, and none of the forty or so individual flats show up there.

I asked to be put on the electoral roll but have received no letter from the council......well...maybe a letter came , and got thrown on the pile of 400-500 letters that are in the lobby.....but i havent seen it.
Unortunately, none of us have access to the electoral roll that the council has.

 Anyone can view the electoral role in a public library

If you moved address and this is a mobile 4/5G type contract , and the mobile provider company can’t find your new address in their Royal Mail based record system ,  presumably this is because where you now live is some sort of unofficial ‘off the books’  type conversion or the developer hasn’t yet provided the documentation to the official bodies to register these new individual addresses with Royal Mail , the local council etc , that’s why you can’t get a new contract using this in effect non existent address , you may as well say you live in a tent on the roadside   …..but why don’t you simply  use the address you previously had , the one you got the original mobile contract for , after all if all the documentation is online etc it’s not like paper bill will go there …or use an address you are known at , parents , relative, friends, because for as long as you use a ‘dodgy’ address your application will fail .

presumably for at least some period of time your mobile was working OK at the new ( unofficial )  address while your account was still recorded at your previous address, chances are the problem is entirely because you are trying to use  an address that to all intent and purposes doesn’t officially exist ,
