Phone company wont renew contract as they dont recognise my UK address

Hi,
I have just moved house.
But i have been with EE for years with a mobile Home 4GEE router and a dumbphone on the same contract as the router, for £25/month. (i use the router with my laptop)
Anyway, my contract expired a few days ago, and so i rang up for a quote for a new one.
But they told me they dont recognise my address so cant renew it.
At the moment , since my contract expired, i am still with EE...but its now on a "rolling 30 day contract" at £28/month.
I wanted to see if they can get me a contract for cheaper.
I live in a UK address in Bournemouth. My address has a lot of foreign students and so maybe thats why the address isnt "known"?
How do i go about getting a new phone contract? Is it best to just leave EE and find someone else?
How do i get my address to be recognisable?

Are you on the electoral roll?Have you looked at Scancom for a SIM? They have "non contract" data SIMs that you pay up front for and throw in the bin when they stop working. Amazon have them.0

No point going for more expensive TalkMobile (Vodafone)0 -
Amazon have an EE unlimited data SIM (no calls} for £212.49, SIM card expires Oct 2027. Works out at less than £10 per month.Cisco001 said:If you can pay upfront, have a look at this.EE Unlimited Data, Calls & Texts SIM - Preloaded monthly expiry October 2027 - with voucher by Scancom / FBA (Selected accounts/Prime) £240 (EE unlimted data cap at 600GB)

Thanks, its not a new build no, in fact, quite an old looking building.
I dont know if i am on the electoral role....i wrote to Bournmouth council to ask to be, but received no reply...or rather, our mail just arrives with 40 peoples letters on a big pile in the entrance lobby and i havent seen anything.
I dont pay council tax as my landlord pays it out of my rent.
Bournmouth council know i'm here because they sent me a letter with my parking permit card in it....and i received that no problem. Its £93/month for a space in a car park thats always 70% empty, so i guess i am kind of paying council tax like that. The car park is also a mile walk from my flat/room.0 -

What sort of tenancy agreement? Assured shorthold, or something else?faringdon said:I dont pay council tax as my landlord pays it out of my rent.

Is this the flat/room with the "do not drink" sign on your taps, or have you moved?

.....Well, not really....the house name shows up, with a "partial address".....but it doesnt show the house number, and none of the forty or so individual flats show up there.
(To answer other qu's....yes I have an AST and yes its the one with the "dont drink the water" label)
I asked to be put on the electoral roll but have received no letter from the council......well...maybe a letter came , and got thrown on the pile of 400-500 letters that are in the lobby.....but i havent seen it.
Unortunately, none of us have access to the electoral roll that the council has.0
