    Hi all.

The MID database says you're only allowed to check your own car, not anyone else's.

Do you imagine that anyone is going to come after you if you check that checkbox even if it's not your car?

What if while speaking to the Police, they say 'have you not read the warning on the MID website about only checking your own car, not anyone else's '?

That's what's the main concerning thing.
Why do you think you need to collect the evidence? Just report it to the police as a suspected uninsured vehicle (if they’re even interested) and let them investigate.
What if they ask 'What makes you so sure it's uninsured'?

A: “Well, I don’t know, I just suspect it is.”

The phrase “wasting police time” comes to mind.

I know this is a radical suggestion but you could always accept that not every problem in the world is yours to solve, find another hobby, and stop worrying about whether random cars are insured or not.

Most things are always someone else's job, which is why the jobs don't get done.

Well, what's the answer? Presumably you're not just looking up every car you see?

The car's parked outside my house and it's highly annoying that it's taking up valuable parking space. We have extremely limited spaces in the street and that's why I brought it up.

No doubt you'd be asking the same thing if you were in a similar situation.

What makes you think it's not insured? Is it taxed and/or MOTd?

If the answer to any of those is "No" then the DVLA will already be pursuing the RK.

But the OP making it their job isn't getting it done either.

So, you've no evidence it's not taxed or uninsured and it's parked in a place it's entitled to park?

If that's true, there's nothing you can do about it.
