No choice but to stick with current provider?

Currently with Vodafone broadband, however we are now out of contract so the price has gone up.
While normally I would just look for a better deal elsewhere and switch, we are in the process of moving house and the new address can only have Virgin.
Am I right in thinking that if I get any other provider, and then move in the new year I would be set for a very large early exit fee.
So my only real options are to stay with Vodafone at the out of contract price or switch to Virgin now.

Are you sure that Openreach isn't available at the new address?0

I think your options are limited.
You could try looking at broadband deals available for your current address - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/compare-broadband-deals/ - but it's likely you will only find 12/18/24 month deals which would have an early exit fee as you mention.
One possible option - can you get Virgin Media at your current address? If so then you could get a new contract with them now, and then move it to the new address - https://www.virginmedia.com/help/moving-home - that page says "Keep your current contract".
Another possible option would be to use mobile broadband on a month to month contract at your current address - but that depends on how good the signal is where you are.0 -
If Vodafone definitely isn't available at your new address (and you need to check carefully) my experience is that they write off the early termination fee. We moved in January to an area only served by Gigaclear, Vodafone were very helpful.

Quite a risk for the sake of two months paying the increased out of contract price. Can't imagine it's a major part of the overall moving costs.Kikynethus said:If Vodafone definitely isn't available at your new address (and you need to check carefully) my experience is that they write off the early termination fee. Switching to Virgin now at current address is what I was thinking was best option. Can save a tenner a month switching to Virgin now Vodafone is out of contract.Detail_Merchant said:I think your options are limited.

Given the cost of moving house, I can't help but think you're worrying about the wrong thing.sufcboy said:

I’m not worrying about it. Doesn’t mean I want to keep paying over the odds for broadband if I don’t need too.JSmithy45AD said:
