Morning all xx
Last Saturday I wrote myself a list of things I wanted to get done on my week off. All ticked off apart from a trip to the PO yesterday - postponed as the Amazon van didn't drop off my parcel there due to the fact that he was stuck on someone's lawn in a nearby village. Up to the axles in mud. That can wait til Monday now - I'm not rushing through my Saturdailies to get to the PO before it closes at 12.30.
iona - wow! I am in awe - everything looks amazing. 😍
I hope everyone is safe, warm and dry, after yesterday's rain. It tipped it down all day here. A perfect day for staying indoors and ticking off what I'd bought who for Christmas and taking all the gifts upstairs.
Now to write my Saturdailies list plus extras for this week. I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, changed Joey's seed and water, and supped my first brew. Second brew and puzzles next.

Hello Everyone, I'm lurking as ever.
It was my childhood best friend's mum's funeral on Monday. DD2 came with me. It really was hard going as the lady was like second mum to me. Especially during the holidays when my parents were working. So of course nothing much got done on that day.
Things I've got done this week in no particular order,
Done some batch cooking for the freezer
S/S the kitchen, including appliances, tiles and taps
Changed the beds
A semi tidy in the spare room
Done 4x washing and drying to which half has been put away so far
S/S the bathroom
Decluttered some jeans and jumpers. DD2 will look at them first and if she doesn't want them they'll be off to the charity shop
I've started going through all my shoes and boots after realising I didn't have anything "nice and smart" for the funeral. DD2 says she'll try and sell some of my hardly worn boots which would be good
I have also been to my chatty group and walking group. Didn't go to the craft group as it was heavy rain all day
Had a call from one of the epilepsy nurses regarding my meds dosage. I was right and the doctors receptionist/manager was wrong!! And the lovely lady said she'd be telling her so! So hopefully this means no more chasing prescriptions and meds
Hoping to go for lunch with my friend today as I haven't seen him for about a fortnight as he had an old uni friend visiting. It also meant I missed his birthday so I'd like to give him his present.

Sorry for your loss WendyW , you must have some lovely memories x
Hope Dizzy is OK after all the rain, I am sure she is in Wales where it has been very bad.
Feeling a bit out of sorts, not entirely sure why. Have been grumpy with DH which is very unfair.
Anyhow, Community Walk done, a few bits of ironing sorted and our bed changed, DH did grocery shop and we put it away together. Have taken some fish out to make fish pie. Clean washing to put away next then I will do finance spreadsheets. Actually I might have half an hour with my book first.7 -
@Honey_Bear - This year we aren't giving presents at at to that branch of the family. She won't let my sister visit with her two grandchildren (even after giving the $250,000 to help buy a new house). I have never even met the youngest one and he just turned five. I tried leaving presents at my other nephew's house as he still sees his brother, but no response in return of any kind anymore. I still get pictures on FaceBook but that is all. Their loss.

Sorry f sorry for your loss WW.
I have emptied waterbutt but I have devised a remote system (ie I don’t have to stand there) involving a length of hose and a funnel and an improvised support. As garden now completely sodden limiting any water going onto it helps. If I dig down about a foot I hit clay so it doesn’t take much rain before it starts to run off.
Crystal glasses etc all washed and in the new unit. Bonus is they’ll be ok for xmas as they’re in a cupboard.
No admin done.

Morning all. Forecast says dry today so I hung some washing out. Lucky I noticed the spots of rain on the window! Back in and draped round now.Not much done in the way of housework but I did the whole house, I think it was Friday, dusted and polished and vacuumed. Also both beds changed and caught up with the washing.Roast dinner to do in a while then going shopping with DD1 and DGD2 this afternoon. Only Tesco but nice to get out for an hour. She's bringing her dog over to keep DH company while we're out

Afternoon all,
We had a lovely day at SiL and BiL yesterday, so nothing much else achieved apart from driving there and back. Today I have tried to get back on track a little bit - wm x 2 (didn’t even bother looking at the forecast, washing is draped indoors), HHI (will do the rest this afternoon), s&s bathrooms, vacuumed landing and stairs. I need to sort out the fridge and also create some freezer space, but that seems to be a very slow process.5 -
The forecast here is fine for a couple of days so I've run the WM but only one load because it's still and grey. I also did some handwashing last night so that's been dangled outside but will take a couple of days to dry.I made more dog crackers and baked them while I was making supper last night which was necessary because I the dog had finished the first batch. I've also given a box to one neighbour whose dog got very spooked by the random fireworks from Divali right through to a couple of nights ago and was so spooked he wouldn't use his bed in the kitchen any more. She sprinkled a few crackers in his bed for days and he's now started sleeping there again. This morning I gave another box to the neighbours on the other side because I know their dog is dying and they refuse to accept it, and he's reached the stage when he won't eat, has diarrohoea and is very listless. I've also suggested they squirt a dose of canikur into his mouth because he won't even eat chicken, and that they take him to the vet but it's been six days and they still haven't so I've done the best I can for the dog, who still wags his tail and has relatively happy ears but he's just kind of done. I know how hard this is and they're doing the thing he loves best which is to sit on the sofa with him between them but if there's the slightest off-chance it could be something else I do wish they'd let the vet have a look at him. He's lovely big gentle black labrador everyone loves. We've got to take some carpets up today because there are a couple of areas that need recarpeting and the chaps due to come tomorrow to do so. I need to get some polystyrene down from the attic to pop over the grippers so the animals don't get their paws spiked while they're uncovered.Belovéd has cleaned the dining room and sitting room windows, and I'm going to do my office and the bedroom windows.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.5
