MSE Forum Poll: What day of the week does your household typically do its main food shop?

  • It does tend to be at the weekend as I prefer to walk down there in daylight but in the summer especially can also be in the evening. Also usually Saturday rather than Sunday as I like to do it really early before it gets busy, Sunday is usually pretty busy all day. So mainly but not exclusively Saturday when the shop opens.

Nearest supermarkets are 15-20 miles away so I try to have at least 3 tasks to do when out and shop when I'm passing/in the area for other reasons
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Personally it depends on when the best deals available as to when I do our monthly major top up shop, which I've found that here, the best money saving deals are usually on the 3rd week of each month. I usually stock up for a month and then repeat which saves us a fortune & I can then clock up numerous No Spend Days each month, which also saves us a pretty penny!  ;)
