How does that work then? Do you mean straddling the shared centre line between both bays?dnpark38 said:They do say Blue Badge Holders Only.
Just park in the middle of two normal bays.

Of course I do not know if they have rules against that.

There are generally "rules" about parking within marked bays.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid4 -
Of course they do. Any chance to make a quick buck. Check any supermarket private parking company sign next time you're at one. But this was never about preserving a dent-free door panel, it was about a person with some physical difficulties having reasonable access to the store.dnpark38 said:Umkomaas said:

It's better than putting a dent in next cars door. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Presumably you have by now searched the forum for parking Scotland & read recent threads so that you know to ignore it.JohnSwift10 said:My wife has difficulty in getting in and out of the car (She's 80 years old with sore hips)
She is not eligible for a blue badge. This is in Scotland.
Because of this I park in a disabled bay at my local Tesco because the normal bays are not wide enough for her to get out if a car is parked in an adjacent space.
Also they are quite far from the entrance.
There are plenty of spaces as the store is not all that busy when we go shopping, I don't think I have ever seen all the disabled places occupied when we go.
I had asked a member of staff ages ago and he said that it would be OK as no one enforces the parking anyway.
Well now someone does.
