Should I use disabled bays in Tesco?

My wife has difficulty in getting in and out of the car (She's 80 years old with sore hips)
She is not eligible for a blue badge. This is in Scotland.
Because of this I park in a disabled bay at my local Tesco because the normal bays are not wide enough for her to get out if a car is parked in an adjacent space.
Also they are quite far from the entrance.
There are plenty of spaces as the store is not all that busy when we go shopping, I don't think I have ever seen all the disabled places occupied when we go.
I had asked a member of staff ages ago and he said that it would be OK as no one enforces the parking anyway.
Well now someone does.
I got a bit of paper in a yellow plastic bag demanding £70.
So they have lost a customer of over 30 years

Complain about it to Tesco, as keeper
No blabbing about who was driving, especially when it's Scotland !
No paying either2 -
Pull up at entrance to Tesco.
Let wife out.
Go and park in space not designated "Blue Badge Only".
Join wife for shopping "journey".
Reverse procedure when finished shopping.
Or just ignore the restrictions and the tickets.3 -
It's strange that they said nobody checked, they were giving out handhelds in 2016 to record details.

I don't trust anything that anyone says about getting away with anything, though I would try to get it cancelled.

This is what you as a non disabled driver should be doing, same as a taxi driver would, especially if there is a dropoff pickup area , because you are her "carer" , but no legal entitlement to park in a designated disabled bay, one that is reserved for the benefit of people who qualify under the Equality Act 2010flaneurs_lobster said:Pull up at entrance to Tesco.

The law may change next year in Scotland making you as Registered Keeper liable, so plan ahead from this moment onwards0 -

Who issued the 'yellow plastic bag'?
Some time ago it was reported that Police Scotland would be monitoring and enforcing on blue badge bays on private land in some locations. The originator of the ticket is quite important here as a starting point for more structured advice. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
