No need to be worried,  study the 8 steps in the defence template thread,  especially about mediation

"Hello , no offer thank you,  goodbye". ( a 5 minute phone call. )

Nothing to be scared of,  all part of the process,  read what coupon mad suggested below

You both should be enjoying the holidays and New Year, not thinking about this minor problem

So, senior forum members and assistants helping me, the mediation appointment is tomorrow.

To keep you in the loop, DCBL has been contacting regularly to speak to my dad as well as passing information to BW Legal (who just leave a voice message, no actual indication of why, on searching google it seems they do some of the dirty work for DCBL) who also were contacting. On stating to them that a court hadn't decided that the debt was to be acknowledged, I have demanded that the telephone number they have contacted my dad on be removed from their systems as it is deemed as harassment and they have begrudgingly complied.

I shall keep you in the loop after tomorrow for further developments. Thank you for your help and support so far

    As @Gr1pr says about mediation

"Hello , no offer thank you,  goodbye". ( a 5 minute phone call. )

This is in the 8 steps. 3 example links there.

Don't go being pressured to offer money. If the Mediator is a biased pen-pushing sap who wants to get their success numbers up and leans on you to make an offer and makes you/the Defendant feel small, tell them that they are propping up a scam industry and should be ashamed.

… end of conversation. Phone down!

BW Legal are nothing to do with this. If you are getting texts or calls from BW Legal, it is about a completely different private PCN from a different parking firm.

The worry there is it sounds like BW Legal have your old address so you DO need to reply asking what it is about, ask for a copy of the Notice to Keeper and tell them your new address (and insist they 'erase' the old address. Use that word).

The BW Legal case isn't this claim.

Mediation phone call went well, not confrontational. Now just to wait and see what happens next……hopefully discontinuance

Th discontinuation document will arrive by email just before the hearing fee deadline date listed on the court order from your local civil court ( much too early yet. )
