I haven't done much flying today as I'm still not feeling too well.
Today I have
Attended placement
Sorted through diary and updated
Took DD to her maths tutor (bit of retail therapy whilst DD was with tutor, got festive cards and a family calendar for next year).
Laundry x 1 load
Loaded the DW and switched on
I'm going to take tonight to relax with DH and watch some tv or a film.6 -
lots of errands done this morning …started with a trip to the pharmacy as i finish meds this weekend and despite ordering last week I hadn’t had a text to say they were ready. I was quite cross to discover it was because they couldn’t get one of them but they hadn’t thought to tell me. Apparently there’s an alternative so i popped to the GP to ask… not heard anything yet.
Bathroom cleaned. Ironing cleared and cheque banked. Plumber contacted and his list of jobs added to. I need my little brush retrieving from bathroom sink drain and said drain needs unblocking, draining very slow. He is coming Tuesday.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Morning all. Wordle in three. Hope you're all ok and poorlies are feeling better.
Priorities for today are icing cakes ready for village event this afternoon and walking Poppet. Anything else will be a bonus.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all xx
First day of my ten days off woot woot. Hairdresser's appointment at 8.30 am. Whose idea was that? I did this last time and it threw my Saturdailies out of synch completely.
Heyho. I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, changed Joey's seed and water, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, no lines on Connections - always 'one away'!, and supped a brew.
Have a good day.

Morning all. Hope MrJazee is not in too much pain to do anything! x
I have crossed a few small items off my list already:
- WMx1
- parcel to PO (online purchase return)
- bought a demi-baguette treat for my lunch, as DH has gone out to play trains all day
- next week's Christmas Fayre handouts to dance class parents in church hall; reassured the dance teacher that her classes are not affected (we hold our Fayre in the church building) except for the fact that the car park will be extra busy. Note to self: make sure I'm there at 8.30 next Saturday!
- put away a few family history items that I'd inadvertently left on a low shelf under my desk
- decluttered the last slice of carrot cake with my coffee to prevent it from going bad
- cleared and wiped down the worktops
Now about to start sewing and pressing - finishing curtains and bookmarks. After that, I shall move on to icing and cookie making I need DH to help me hang the curtains.
Hope everyone has a good day and that you feel better soon, MMM x

NN pointed out that I needed air in one of my tyres. So when I returned from the hairdresser's I got in touch with my brother.
I've had a coffee with DB and DSil, and DB has shown me how to use the compresser tucked in my boot. I didn't know there was a compressor in my boot, so he saved me some dosh as I was going to buy one! I didn't know I had a cigarette lighter either. Every day is a school day.
This weekend's Saturdailies are now going to be Sundailies and I'm taking the rest of the day off. To chill.
One year ago today (daywise, tomorrow datewise) DS married DDil. How time flies.

After several days with a sore and now bloodshot eye, I decided I'd better get it looked at. Reluctantly.
Piled clothes on bed for going to Dorset this afternoon.
Put one load washing on to do while Mr N took me to A&E.
A&E amazingly were almost empty. Gave details at booth 1, sat for 5 mins. Gave details to doctor in booth 3 who looked at my eye from behind a screen and about a metre of desk. Said probably nothing serious but ring the NHS eye clinic place who will see me today. Rang them at 11am, got appt for 11.50!! Walked over, via a paper shop and C0sta. Very pleasant and efficient, given eye drops after thorough examination and told no major issue; I may have scratched the eye possibly when taking lenses out but no scratch visible now.
Mr N picked me up having gone home, packed case and hung washing out.
Set up payment for credit card.
Printed off Mum's Christmas card list as I'll need to help her do some this weekend.
Enough excitement for one day; hope M25 and M3 are ok.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.7 -
Safe journey Narco. It's good to know the NHS is functioning well in your area; it is here too. I'm not sure who the eight million people are on the waiting lists as neither Belovéd nor I has had any issues being seen by anyone over the past 18 months, and the GP surgery answers the phone when we phone them on the third or fourth ring. Plymouth has an ill-health problem so we've been pleasantly surprised at the service we've been receiving lately. No complaints and much praise here.Pegged out a load of washing early as we had to go to fill the car up and set up a room for an AGM by 10.00. All done and dusted by 12.30 so I indulged myself in town which I haven't done for several months and bought three new to me cookbooks that I'd been hankering after for some years and in doing so supported the local library and a CS. Also tracked down a wreath-making book (£1.50) which looks helpful, having seen the price of wreath-makiing workshops this year - 'HOW MUCH????' I really think £65 is pushing it. (You're 'avin a larf, mate.) The crabapple tree in absolutely loaded this year and the blackbirds love it so I'm planning on 'borrowing' some of those twigs which I'll then return to the shrubbery for the birds to scoff after New Year.I also blew some of my grocery budget for November. Ooops.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.6

Hello everyone (tiptoes back in and settles down on the sofa)
So, a strange old October, we had to make the hideous decision to say goodbye to our darling dog who had had a long and happy life but was failing and deserved some final peace and dignity. We took ourselves away for a few days to start to adjust to life without him.
DH has had a bit of a flare up of the old "unspecified myalgia", my work has been insanely busy but in happier news DS1 and GF have had a offer accepted on a lovely little cottage.
Flying has been a bit sporadic and I need to get myself back in a routine.
Flicked through your news and was very curious about Rounds compressor in her boot. Then I realised it was the boot of her car, which was disappointing, I thought it was some hi-tech footwear thing.
