I completed Strands with no hints, Wordle in four, and Connections with no lives lost.Snap!I know I can't do it in one hit, so I thought I'd have a quick tidy up of the 'Food' folder on my main computer. What I've had to do first, of course, is declutter a huge area of my Documents Folder in Explorer. This is going to be a very long, slow process, isn't it.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.7 -
Finally got Wordle. Haven't attempted anything else yet. Valli- what and where is pips?
I have collected car, walked Poppet, done dailies, changed bedding and sofa throws, wrapped presents and hoovered through. Foam tiles to clean next before going to exercise class then chiropodist.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Jazee, Pips is a domino type game where you have to organise the tiles fit certain totals etc. For me, it is just above Wordle. I find that I can do easy and hard but medium often escapes me for some reason.
Bedding changed, washed and has been blown dry on the line. 2 x outdoor coats washed and re-waterproofed, also drying on the line. Bedroom dusted and vacuumed. Tax return finally submitted - yay!
More recipes have let the house via the recycling. One recipe book consigned to the cs bag. Slow, slow progress, but progress it is.7 -
Thanks Fayolle, I'll take a look.
Started to clean foam tiles then realised I didn't have enough time and also ruined my boots with bleach splatters. Will put this job on the list for Sunday now. Exercise class was great but chiropodist had double booked so that was a wasted journey in appalling weather. Home now and having a cuppa before trying the recipe tonight that HB mentioned. I'm adding some diced chorizo to it.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Thanks Fayolle for answering that query. Like connections, strains and wordle it’s an NY Times game.
I have a clean kitchen and a bottom layer of a cottage pie in the freezer as i dint have enough potatoes for 2 pies but it’s ina pyrex dish with a polythene lid so any surplus mash can be added easily. I’ve also mopped the hallway. Floors to ages to dry…over an hour!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Having cut down two perfectly good king-size (old bed) duvets to singles (new bed), I now have feathers and down from one of them all over the DR and utility floors! The other one was filled with wadding so not as messy. I've done a quick sweep of the floor for tonight but I'll hoover up the rest of the flying debris tomorrow. The re-purposing will save me £26, and well worth the trouble, as I've now got far better quality duvets than the brand new ones.
I've also discovered that although our nearest Mr/D(un*lm) is too small to have a textile recycling point, there are plenty of their bigger stores that do. They collaborate with the Sally Army to reuse or recycle whatever they can, as long as it's clean (tears are not a problem). There just happens to be one of the big stores near DH's model railway club's premises, so I wonder who's going to save me the petrol when he delivers the remnants plus the other bedding that we don't need any more?

Morning. Wordle in five. Unfortunately I don't have the option for pips.
Back to work today. Possibility of a quick trip to town with DD between shifts and the usual dailies and dog walk.
DH is back to being in charge of meals but the recipe from HB was delicious last night.
Good luck clearing the feathers Iona. Did you stitch before cutting?
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all. wm, dw and td all pressed into service. Wordle, strand and pips done (I find pips by using google so goodness knows how i first found it) and one connection made…still waiting for the ‘click’ there.
Off to vol job today.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I've not managed much flying over the last 2 days as I have been busy with work as currently on placement in a school. I've decided however that I need to get myself organised so going to start with a small list.
My list for today
Attend placement
Attend appointments that are in diary for today (uc review, doctor and uni tutor)
Laundry x 3 loads
Take down decorations from the weekend
Load up the DW and switch it on
Take the dog for a walk
Take the kids to local bonfire
I think that is enough for me to tackle today, I'm going to take baby steps as that's better than nothing.
