Hi,
I have received a penalty charge from smart parking for the above contravention. I initially didn't realise this was the reason for the fine, so I sent an appeal already showing my receipt.
I have parked in this car park a couple of times prior and there are no options for adding the amount of hours you parked. I just inserted my registration plate and paid the amount on the screen.

I doubt that its a penalty charge, Smart Parking dont issue them
Neither is it a fine, Magistrates issue those
Have you complained about it to the landowner or landlord or business yet ?
Have you appealed as keeper yet ?
Do not reveal who was driving if you appeal it
Do not expect a cancellation, it won't happen
But do not pay !

No bailiffs will call at your property, not for 1 low cost pcn
Your appeal will be rejected
Definitely keep trying plan A in the newbies sticky thread3 -
if you have a read of the link I gave ..... much, if not all we be explained.........penalty charge = police , council ....parking charge = invoice for breaking a contract with a scam ......... private parking company4

Smart Parking PCNs go to DCB Legal, who will make a court claim, but discontinue a few months later after you defend the case using the online form.No CCJ as long as you respond to the claim form. You'll receive a Notice Before Claim from DCB Legal first, so you'll be ready for the brown envelope. But we're talking next summer. No bailiffs in any case.Certainly no paying.4

DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
