Someone taking photo of mine and neighbours homes

I’ve never seen her before, and it just seemed really random.. she pulled up, took the photos, and then left. We live in a quiet little street, so it definitely stood out. She was dressed in normal clothes, not a uniform or work outfit.
I’m really nosy now and want to know what this was about. Has anyone had this happen to them? Maybe it was for a job or something? I’ve definitely watched too many thrillers! She spent a lot of time looking at our home but we do have a nice door…

Are the houses all of a period? 20s, 30s, 50s etc? My sister toured her local area looking for inspiration when she was intending to refurbish the front of her house, but she didn’t take photos.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. Maybe she used to live there or a relative used to live there and she has taken photos for them.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Once I made a photo of paving in front of someone's house, just as an example. Very angry owner ran out and started shouting at me. What's wrong with (some) people? Many photos are already easily available in the internet - google street view, rightmove etc.2

Another wild theory is she is doing a council tax appeal and is looking for house similar to hers.2

Could be a future house sale/purchase/rent and someone's doing due diligence.1

Before I got to the end of your post, I was thinking how I'd done the same (although I tried to be discreet) when I was deciding on a new front door, as some of the local houses had beautiful original doors. The guy who made the door went for a look too, so he could copy the proportions.
Thankfully, it was before everybody started getting doorbell cameras so hopefully we didn't worry anybody, although I would've explained if I saw anybody notice us. I did feel a bit weird doing it so I just took a quick snap as I walked past. If I'd been standing looking for ages, I'd have knocked to ask if they minded.0
