RWG So Bad

I too have had issues with calls cutting off before they connect, and incoming calls going straight to voicemail. I tried setting my phone to 2G only. That seemed to work at first, but the problem came back.
The only partial workaround I've found is to go into network settings, turn off "select network automatically", scan for networks and select Now.
Sometimes it takes a few tries, but eventually it will work again for about a week without any problems.
If I try to check the call forwarding settings when calls are not working, I get an "unable to read data from sim" error.
Doing the same check, when incoming and outgoing calls are working, will show the call forwarding settings without any error.
The same thing happens with two completely different phones. I don't believe there is a problem with the sim, more likely to do with RWG's set up. Especially as others are experiencing exactly the same problem.

After several years with RWG, the intermittent incoming calls and taking two or three goes to actually connect when making a call, and getting voicemail messages when I have had my phone in my hand and it never ringing, I have jumped ship now that all my doubled-up credit from previous promotions has all been used up on data bundles, and moved to Mozillion - another EE MVNO, but from the moment the number switched all the issues with receiving and making calls disappeared. The full EE signal without the full EE price. I bought a 24 month prepaid SIM, and hopefully it will work well for all that time. Proof that not all EE MVNOs are the same signal wise.

Like iv said before,i was a early RWG customer,2019, and it must be where i live, signal fine, never had a missed call.
Its true, now mobile rely on 2g to connect calls, not the full ee service.
But while, i still get my free for life 100. 100 750mb every month il stick with them.
Surley when ee turn off 2g, we will get the full service?

I wonder if Now customers, rather than those with RWG SIM's, get VoLTE etc on EE ? I did order a Now SIM to try it out but it never arrived and no reply to an email asking for info.

Yes, the free bundles are a reason to stay, but that isn't a promising long term business model, which may explain dragging heals on adding 4G calls. Their renewal prices for folk using above a free bundle have increased and are better elsewhere, £80 for 10GB for 12 months is beaten in various places (including on the EE signal with 4G calling) so if it's only free bundle or very low users that stick with them, I fear their days are numbered. But whilst it's free, enjoy it.
