RWG So Bad

Highdog said:Bought £30 annual SIM July 2025 with RWG not been able to use for calls. Data and SMS ok, calls mostly dropout. Battling with them to sort it ever since. They sent replacement SIM still no calls. Everything they asked me to do doesn't work. Have it in Pixel 6, when I swapped the SIM into Samsung Galaxy phone, same problems. Inserted a SIM from GiffGaff into Pixel and phone works for all calls. Filled a form they sent me, no reply.RWG piggy backs onto EE, Giffgaff piggybacks onto o2.Have you considered using an EE Sim to determine that the problem is with network coverage rather than RWG?

RWG like many other cheap MVNO's route voice calls using 2G only. They do not have access to 4GVoLTE or calls over Wifi. So make sure your handset is set up properly to accept 2G. On one of my Android phones there is a setting buried deep under Settings/Network/SIMS but is elsewhere on other phones or not at all. Set Allow 2G to ON.
You may have a poor 2G signal in your area is another possibility.
If your SIM uses the NOW network (EE) then phone Now customer support on 02078717699 who now have taken over RWG or email them on hello@nowmobile.co.uk
If you have a GAMMA SIM (which uses the three network) then you're out of luck as Three appear to have abandoned RWG.
699 will get you through to NOW mobile customer support (when you've solved the voice call problem)

To enable 2G on your Pixel 6, go to Settings > Network & internet > SIM, and toggle the option for 2G networks0

RWG - I cannot make or receive calls at home. The service used to work well and was low cost. I suddenly can't make / receive calls on ANY handset (Motorola G62 / Nokia 110 / a 4G Doro).
Speaking to the NOW customer service team the problem is that RWG only use 2G networks and it looks like EE (the service provider) has killed 2G service in an area around my home - me checking the EE coverage checker. Reading the post above from Proudcheapskate it looks like I am stuffed.
Does anyone know if I have any "rights" to get my £25 PAYG credit back from RWG or is it a case of "tough, it is gone because of circumstances beyond their control……"? I have sent a complaint via their website and have another 6 weeks to wait before they will respond (see the complaints policy) but I don't feel I have much hope. Any information / suggestions please?
Thanks, Frank

Not sure what the odds are of Now replacing your SIM with one that supports 4G or 5G. Perhaps nil.
I read on one forum that a user had asked Now if they could reprovision his RWG SIM for 4G. I don't understand the technical side of this but believe they said they couldn't.
Good luck with the complaint.
