HB, this made me LOLHoney_Bear said:I'll just file this under Household Management for now.

Thanks for your message of sympathy, Valli.
DH has been decidedly off colour this week, which could have been caused by the C jab that he had on Monday, but last night he was having breathing difficulties and coughing fits. He slept a bit with his CPAP machine, and at 8.00 this morning he sent off a request for a callback from the GP surgery (the online system is only available during office hours, so you can't get an early appointment, doh!!!). He now has to go and see a not-a-doctor at 1.30, and I shall have to take him there (can't trust him to drive safely if he has another coughing fit), so sadly I am unable to attend the funeral of a church friend at exactly the same time
I have moved a few more things back into my bedroom this morning so that I can get to the laminator. I've also gloss painted the top of my double-width c-o-d, a job which I forgot to ask the decorator to do. Anyway, it's done now - mainly left-handed, as I can't lift my previously dominant right arm high enough to reach without ending up in agony. The fact that I picked up the paintbrush with my left hand, without thinking, shows how much I have transferred skills, but I still haven't worked out how to sew or knit left-handed.
Anyway, I have just made a coffee, so I'll go and do some more curtain hemming for half an hour, then it will be a quick lunch before we head to the surgery..

Late check in from me…
Iona, I hope DH is ok / getting sorted.
I ran a couple of errands this morning, then I put some beef into the sc. I got a hankering from GBBO (I am a few weeks behind!) to make a rough puff pastry pie. So I needed the freezer space that some beef was taking up, and am cooking it today to make a pie tomorrow. DH will be happy, I’m not a fan as only an occasional meat eater and beef is then not my meat of choice, and DD the veggie will be out working.
This afternoon I have run the wm x 1, hung the damp washing in the DR, changed DD’s bedding ready for tomorrow morning’s washing, HHI and cleaned the bathroom. Apart from cooking dinner later and WULTD, that will be me done for the day. DH has popped out to see a friend who is recuperating from an op, so I am going to have a peaceful cuppa and maybe do some knitting whilst listening to a podcast. It is raining put after all, so options are limited.5 -
Afternoon all. I got a washload done today, the weather is too changeable to peg out so it was draped around the house but nearly all dry now and put away. I also did some cleaning! I had a busy week and didn't have the time/energy to keep up properly but this morning I dusted, polished and vacuumed the whole house and then cleaned the bathroom and toilet. I was reading the paper after and wondered why it was still only 8.30 when I realised the clock had stopped. It was actually 10.00. New battery in and all good.I've got mugs soaking in cup cleaner now and I'll wash them up in about 10 minutes. Some mugs have a really good glaze and are easy to keep clean but others only seem to need one or two drinks in them and they're badly stained. I know it's not dirt, but it looks dirty.Hope Mr Iona is better soon and everyone else is OK x7

I have restocked the rabbit food and bedding *wince* and been to see SD to catch up/explain a few changes. We are not doing our family secret santa any more - not gifting at all, now, so that needed explaining. Seems appropriate given we no longer have mum and those with young kids/mortgages can focus their energies and finances elsewhere.
I've ironed, that's all airing on the maiden. and I feel less grim.
Meter readings taken and reported.

Morning all. Wordle in three.
Hope your DH is ok Iona.
Just the basics done here this week along with sorting out undies drawers.
Today I have to do final decorations on yet another cake. This time it's for DGD2. Started the day by smashing a dozen eggs on the floor and Poppet has been sick.
Right, onwards and upwards. Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

DS's prescription was collected and dropped off. DB's cats were fed and watered. Pops' birthday present for P has been picked up. And I introduced the Macmillan Nurses that I was working with to 'Filthy Friday' - chips and curry sauce for lunch.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with two hints, completed Wordle in three, completed Connections with no lives lost, changed Joey's seed and water, and supped a brew.

Morning all,
Oh Jazee, that was not a good start to your day.
I had a late start after deciding that 5am was not getting up time. Turns out that one weird dream and a couple of hours later meant that 8.50am was a good time 😳. Since then i have been firing on all cylinders.
Washing done and double pegged outside
WUDUPA
Emptied dw
Cleaned hob, kitchen and utility sinks and vacuumed the floors
DR dusted and vacuumed, tablecloth in the washing pile
Clean clothes folded but still on the kitchen side as DH is finally getting the remaining wallpaper off from the stairway and I can’t get by. Amazing what a builder’s quote will do to prompt action.
This afternoon I need to make some pastry and maybe a loaf of bread. In the meantime I will do a bit more of Operation GH Cleanup.
Have a good day all x8 -
Both me and the cat are feeling better.
Little frog deal twith; I have telephoned a company to come and look at putting in a loft ladder.
Done wordle, connections and found a new one - pipsDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Afternoon all. Two loads of washing done, some hung outside for about 3 hours and brought in before the rain. All finished off indoors and put away.Early start. Neighbours dog started whining at 3.30 am, progressed to howling and finished with a good bark. She gave up after about half an hour - I didn't hear anyone get up to see what was wrong. Must be better sleepers than me! It is unusual though. I gave up about 4.15 and got up. Going to be a long day.5

Hope you've recovered from your unfortunate start to the day, Jazee x
Thanks to all who inquired after my DH. He does have a chest infection, but the not-a-doctor asked the GP to prescribed the usual antibiotic and it seems to be doing the trick. He is not going to war gaming tomorrow, though!
This evening the fireworks have started in earnest in this neighbourhood, and Rosie is very scared
Fortunately I managed to take her out for a walk in the Covert while it was quiet this afternoon, between the heavy showers that we've been experiencing on and off all day.
I have printed out and laminated some more posters for the Fayre, done WMx2, hoovered out the drawers in my bedroom, hung up most of my clothes, and put the remaining bits of craft stuff away neatly. I've also written out the snowman pattern for a friend's granddaughter (previously it was only in my head). I haven't managed to do any curtain hemming today, but I did go and buy more thread. And we watched Strictly
