Michaels - i see what you asked is a bit more complicated.
Ive only just had the NSH on to test if they were coming on when off peak tariff showing (they werent) but i havent had this months bill yet to see what ive actually been charged.

For your interest here's a pic - I could set the 2 (non hard wired) NSH to the current incorrect tarriff times but dont think my elderly heaters would take in enough energy,  with the broken up hours, to give out any meaningful heat.
If chasing up EDF and threatening the Ombudsman doesnt get a speedy resolution its an option to consider if it gets colder.
Those mechanical time switches are good only for recycling: power failures and rota cuts will cause the settings to go adrift. You still haven't said whether it controls a panel or storage heater, but the setting of six hours starting from 1am suggests it's the latter.  If you didn't notice an outage because you were asleep or not at home then your NSH could be charging at expensive peak rate for many weeks.
You need an electronic timer with non-volatile memory (make sure it's adequately rated for the NSH's maximum current demand).

A very good suggestion - there is a mismatch!
My meter readings for usage on Friday 24th
(13 KWh day rate, 8 KWh night rate, read off meter screens) are shown on the  gizmo display as costing £5.99. - photo 1
This is what the meter shows i've used for 2 hard wired  NSH and a TPLink wifi booster plug.
Online my usage graph shows something different.
The off peak use dominates here and the price of my electricity for the day is £3.53.
So. EDF seem to be charging using 'time of use' not the meter readings.
All well and dandy whilst my meter communicates but if it should go dumb and i have to submit readings we will have no idea of how much higher or lower tarriff i have actually used.
Apart from that it is quite unacceptable for something to have caused such a change in how an accurate piece of kit - a meter  - works.
Last week the lady im dealing with suggested that they might put in a dumb meter with the correct timings etc but she'd would be looking further and discussing with colleagues.
Looks like this would be more accurate - I dont mind sending in readings and no-one would be able to fiddle with it!!
Im sending 2 photos to show the mismatch
Any new thoughts from all my helpful comrades :)

Im learning a lot about whats on the web site!
NSHs started using energy at 1.30am and finished at 8.30am. (Nothing else on all day so that the test was pure)

Are the tariff rate settings on this same as on bills/web?

Yes, it's what's on your bill that is important. EDF can produce all the fancy peak/off peak graphs they like on their app and portal, but if you are getting charged by the meter readings on your bills, that's what you'll pay.
