Evening all, hope you're all well.
My Plum virtual pot is ticking over again, and up to £108.88 since October so not too bad.  The Plum algorithm is now favouring my other challenges (1p and 52-week) as those amounts get towards the higher end, so I imagine when they go back to the start, the weekly amounts will increase again.  DH has finally joined Plum as well, so I got an extra £15 for that which went into the pot as well.
This weekend just gone was the last trip of my very busy year - London with my work wife Emma, for Letters Live at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday as well as going up to Horizon 22, the new highest viewing platform in the city, and then on Saturday taking in Camden Market and Covent Garden, then up to Piccadilly and Regent/Oxford/Carnaby/Bond Streets to take in the Christmas lights and Liberty's.  Absolute madness
However, in the interests of moneysaving - we travelled by train from Retford which is near Emma's; cheaper and shorter journey than from Sheffield (although I had to drive to her house), stayed in a Travelodge as always (further out at Vauxhall), and apart from Tube fares/food/drink we both only bought 2 Xmas in baubles in Liberty's.  LL tickets were cheap as they were in the Choir seats behind the stage supposedly with 'no screen view' but we could see both screens, one of which was more or less above us but the image was flipped as we were behind it, and we could see the stage and performers clearly.  Horizon 22 was ticketed but is free.
And in other news, Holly the huskypoo arrived with us on the 24th.  She took a while to warm to DH but managed it just before I went away and she was stuck with him!  As I speak she's laid on the sofa beside him.  She came with 2 beds and a blanket, and I bought another bed (cheap/reduced because they said she destroys them).  She spent the first day in the new bed at the foot of our stairs (as I was upstairs working) but since discovering the sofas, has spent most of her time on them. She's only had 2 little accidents. She didn't eat for the first 48 hours, was scared of the kitchen so we had to take the food to her but now she's better with it although still very jumpy with sudden moves or noises.  She barks at the TV, although has already got better with it - it depends what's on.  So on the 16th we're going to sign the papers at the sanctuary and after a final vet check there, she'll officially be ours.  As we are still fostering they provided all her stuff so what we don't need or she isn't using we're going to take back and/or replace with our own - she's wearing our previous dog's collar as the 2 that came with her were either broken/breaking or too small, and after we sign the papers we're going to go straight to the pet shop with her to pick a new one and her own toys.  Storm wasn't fussed about toys so only had a couple of cloth rabbits, which Holly has already done more to and with than Storm did.  So she needs something a bit more robust to play with! She came in a crate which we don't have space for, so that will be going back (if it fits in our car!).  Obviously none of this is moneysaving!  But she is adorable.

Aww that's lovely news @MrsShazbat, I'm sure Holly will settle in well with the love and patience you are obviously showing her 💕 Our labrador used to love to destroy his toys just seconds after receiving them 🙈 the only thing he couldn't tear apart was a kong!  Wishing you every happiness together xxx

A very good Werdnesday all Potters. What a chilly few days we've had! 🥶 Make the most of the warmer, though wetter days!!
To all those who are ill in any way, or low in spirits at all. Take great care and love from us all
    here at SPC  3

You're welcome 32b3, I had a feeling you hadn't forsaken us. Welcome back! No doubt you've noticed that we finish on the end date. It helps so much rather than having to work between both threads.

Well done Ant, another few pounds.

Excellent Vicky! It's so good to be able to spend some of the money we saved during the year of saving.
    Brilliant sweeping again!

And another £3 plus Ant! I'm so pleased your pot is feeling weighty now, brilliant!

Another £100 plus £5 pounds Lost, plus hubby's scratch card £6!!
How is he now? Recovering well I hope.

Another £250 for the month Lost, brilliant potting all told!! 😀

    Excellent potting LMD!!

Ah another £2 Ant... and you're away with the proceeds of SPC 18!!
It must make so much difference with your break having already been paid for, the joy of saving all year through! I hope you've thoroughly enjoyed yourselves.

Very well done CapricornLass! £18.99 is really well done!!

How fortunate that your DH can do all the electrics for your DD's new kitchen Siju, excellent! 🤞 it'll be all finished by Christmas. Of course if you need an electrician you definitely need a grandmother to care for the grandchildren!
Very well done with the £5 potted plus change!

£95 having been potted is excellent Vicky!!

It's good to see you mummytummy and very well saved! I can quite understand why you are looking forward to the surprise in October.
Not too long before your retirement, I'm so very pleased for you!! 😀

An excellent find Hetty and not exactly where you'd expect to come across money of any denomination, let alone a £1!! 😂 It certainly makes you wonder how on earth it got there! 😯

Very well done LMD! Also with your latest amount potted, brilliant with both!

Excellent money potted from sales. madlyn!

Very well done with your Plum account MrsShazbat and great news about your DH joining in with it!
I'm glad you enjoyed your final trip of the year.
I'm so very pleased all's going well with Holly, it sounds as though she was meant for you both!!

I'm so sorry to have been missing for what must have been over a week folks, but I've been quite poorly with an awful throat then what appeared to be a rotten cold. However, all's well at last, and as is obvious, I'm back with you all now.
Enjoy the rest of the week folks.

    Sue

    Oh no @Sue-UU
There seems to be lots of germs around again. Glad you’re better now.

@AntoMac - I hope you had a lovely time away.  We are spending some of my savings next weekend for a lovely treat.

@Sue-UU - great to have you back up and running.  The lurgy (and various forms of it) seems to be lingering around too much. :(

A whole £2 potted. Pleased with that at this time of year!
