These are the same thing (https://www.santander.co.uk/personal/savings-and-investments/investments/stocks-and-shares-isa) - I'm suspecting that the Shepherds Friendly product restricts the underlying investment offering to its own funds.

Shepherds Friendly also seems to use the two terms rather confusingly (https://storage.shepherdsfriendly.co.uk/wp-media/2025/11/Investment-ISA_Important-Information-Guide_2025.10.pdf).

They appear to be 2 seperate things. Or rather 2 separate things that you open.

Re - TCB - Santander Savings and Cahoot posts a few pages back.

I had Santander Savings transaction 12 December payable on 28 Jan, 16 December transaction still sitting confirmed status.

I've applied via Topcashback, who list investment ISA as the one to pick. But I could have easily picked either, as they mean the same thing to most people. Fortunately I have appeared to have opened the correct one!

Don't worry about it. I didn't think you were planning to refer anyone via this forum to be fair so it wasn't aimed at you personally.

I was more conscious that when the the previous version of the DDs thread used to include details of RAF offers applicable to any of the listings I used to get people trying to get referrals out of me (all refused). The same happened with the Saffron BS RAF RS last year, so I wanted to deter people from referring each other on the forum off the back of the comment.

My personal view is that it would be better not to maintain such a list as it might encourage some to begin referring each other on the forum off the back of it, no matter how much people point out it's against forum rules to do so.
