IG - new customers 5% cashback upto £200, until13 March
I've not looked in detail given I'm no longer a new customer but maybe of interest to others.

USD is what it likes to default to but you can usually keep it in sterling if you lookout for the currency account selection dropdowns in the order dialogue boxes.

Thanks - will update the list soon
In case anyone is hesitating over Chip, I did the same promo last year but just got this bonus too. Ends tomorrow

If this £1K were your only savings, I would agree that committing it to this promotion would not be advisable.
However, I would hope the investment returns over the period would be positive, and the 10% uplift from this offer would somewhat negate the effect of any fall in the chosen equity.
Any investment comes with an associated risk, but in this instance, I consider the risks to be favourable, if invested in say a MMF or multi-asset fund.

I just had a look at the Lloyds ISA cashback offer and was thinking of following a similar path to yours, i.e. transfer in to Barclays then Lloyds.
BUT, I think pound for pound, it is more lucrative to put the whole lot into Freetrade after Barclays (assuming my transfer completes by 5 April) as you get 1% on the whole lot, which is more than what you get with Lloyds (only £600 for £100k transferred in) which is less than 1%.
You may have other reasons though for your plan.

Yes, luckily it was only an extra £75 I'd bunged in - I tried to buy some more CTY using the GBP wallet, and when the order was cancelled it was refunded as dollars into the USD-denominated Investment account instead which I found a bit sneaky. I'm going to wait at at least 90 days to pass to keep the sign-up bonus mentioned earlier in this thread, then try to work out how to extract the funds with minimal conversion loss as it looks like in-specie transfers aren't possible. I guess dividends will be affected and converted into USD too?

Not sure if this has been posted. I’ve been having a bit of a nightmare with transferring my ISA back to Barclays. Anyway I was told to re initiate a transfer (they will honour my existing rate) and this popped up on my app - I’ve taken it from web as I couldn’t copy it directly from my app.

Chip to Barclays transfer was an absolute shambles last year. I gave up in the end. Did get compensation from them both but not enough to cover the missed cashback.
