Same here, fingers crossed it all goes through.

Why do you say that? It's not as though the terms aren't made clear.

They wave this fee for the first 12 months.

Where are you seeing that it's waived? I can see that it's included in the ChipX subscription.
"What investment fees do Chip charge?Platform fees cover the running costs of your account. On our free plan, we charge a percentage platform fee of 0.25%, or 0% with a ChipX membership.*"

Chip
Never have really liked Chip ever since they failed to honour some introductory promotion a few years ago, and resolved not to have anything further to do with them. Have to confess FOMO eventually kicked in and I opened their Prize Savings Account before last Christmas. Then took advantage of this latest START1 promo by opening and depositing (but not investing) £100 in a new Stocks and Shares ISA. Must admit I received the £30 almost instantly, possibly owing to having the existing Prize Savings Account.
However, I was startled by an email received from them at 09:30 today advising that I'd just autosaved £63.89. I don't remember switching the autosave feature on in the course of opting in to the START1 promo, and can only assume it happened when I connected my current account. The £63.89 payment was at 'Pending' status and is easy enough to skip and/or cancel, but that has to be done by 15:00 otherwise it would go through.
Just in case it may help anyone who was previously unaware and has yet to check their emails, this explains how to skip or cancel autosave:

Chip deposit has now landed for me, so three ticks in one part but the reward not yet added in another. Since I didn't have a Chip account before using the START1 code, I don't expect it will be. Nothing ventured nothing gained category. £100 is small beans so I may as well leave it open and see if I get offered any valid enticements!

It may be ok. Not really experienced with this but the deposit reaches Chip then there could be a further delay while its processed into the fund.
At least thats whats happening with me.

Update...
The £100 that I transferred into my GIA on Saturday landed this morning.
About an hour later, the £30 bonus that I attempted to withdraw on Saturday evening, has now been processed.
All that remains is the £100 I the GIA which hasn't been invested. I'll probably leave that there for a couple more days before withdrawing.

Chip have processed the £30 reward for me too, yay. For info I didn't invest in anything, just deposited £100 into the GIA account.

I kept £100 investment in Chip for about 6 months and wasn't charged platform fee. I wasn't on ChipX plan, in my understanding it is a promotional offer.
