Cashback for opening bank or investment accounts, including Cahoot

It's a great offer for those who still haven't filled their Cahoot boots. I for one will pass on it, for two reasons
- I don't want Cahoot/Santander staff to look at my Cahoot accounts
- after years of being a really happy TCB customer, and having made thousands in my TCB account, I have recently stopped using them altogether as they routinely declined paying out even tracked purchases, giving non-sensical excuses as the reason
Good luck to all those applying.3 - I don't want Cahoot/Santander staff to look at my Cahoot accounts

Mine tracked as "Santander Edge® Explorer current account", for whatever reasonDodgerPot said:
Can I ask has yours tracked as Cahoot on TCB?wmb194 said:
No, just click on the link and apply. Cahoot/Santander is good at matching your details to an existing online banking profile if you have one. Mine tracked with TCB not very long after I opened the account and it's visible and funded in Cahoot's online banking.Rheumatoid said:
Did you log on to cahoot first?DodgerPot said:Fab just opened (another) Sunny Day via TopCashback
Thanks for the heads up on that offer
Has TCB tracked?
I have a Santander showing as pending couldn’t understand why so
Got emails from cahoot though.1 -
I'm new to topcashback (I know that's not very MSE), but have just successfully opened a simple saver, and can see the £25 balance in my topcashbank account.
It says the estimated payout is 12 weeks. Is this normal? Will it automatically be transferred to my bank account, or will I need to move it manually?0 -
Thanks that’s how mine is showing on TCB pendingarfster said:

My Sunny Day Saver is showing as Santander Edge Explorer, £0.00, hopefully it will correct itself, otherwise will have to message them. The simple saver is showing correctly, same as others have illustrated above.DodgerPot said:

Yup, a Santander proper one I did yesterday just has the Santander logo. When I click on the plus it states, "cahoot Simple Saver."DodgerPot said:

I’m not getting the same as you showing on TCB.

Very normal for cahback sites. You also don't have the payment guaranteed until it's in your bank account. You must manually request payout.

Re 1. Wouldn’t the Cahoot account opening and cashback tracking be automatic as like a usual opening of an account so unlikely that any staff would be looking at individual account applications and cashback awards?friolento said:It's a great offer for those who still haven't filled their Cahoot boots. In addition to the fact that you do have to manually request, which has already been answeredwinkowinko said:I'm new to topcashback (I know that's not very MSE), but have just successfully opened a simple saver, and can see the £25 balance in my topcashbank account.

Recently they have started emailing me when a cashback has changed to payable, and by clicking the link in the email, takes you to the pay-out instruction page.
Such an improvement, previously I was checking the account every now and then, to see if there was any money payable.
I've been using them for just over 10 years, and received £1067, currently have £19 pending, some of the cashbacks are in the pence range when ordering from China, but some significant amount when doing insurance purchases.3 -
Ir might be automatic, it might not be. I recall there were huge issues with cashback for TSB accounts. Generally speaking, transaction tracking does not guarantee payout.tg99 said:

Good luck to all those applying.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 - I don't want Cahoot/Santander staff to look at my Cahoot accounts
