They sent me the sort code and account number of each account by email at the end of the application so I just sent £1 to them while I wait for the login details.EssexHebridean said:Just waiting on my login details and I'll then stick a small amount in each so they are funded0 -
Am I right that you don't even need to switch to get the Edge £20+£100 voucher? Just open the account via TCB and do the DC transactions (and pay in £500 pm and setup 2 DDs)? Even if you already have a 123 and/or standard current account with Santander?EssexHebridean said:
I'm holding off on that one currently as it also gives an option to earn a £100 Amazon voucher for using the debit card a set number of times over 60 days
If you have to do the DC transactions within 60 days and also before 31st Dec then that offer looks like it might not be on TCB for much longer.0 -
Given the £100 is due to be paid around the 12th of February and there is the 60 days to complete it prior, I cant see how this offer could be available after the beginning of December (if it is not pulled before). There could be a new offer, I would take it now though incase you have a chance to do it. The one difference with TSB is that any transaction counts, I pay my CC in £1 transactions to complete that one, hence it is an easy one to do. We just do not know if it counts that way for Santander, hence better to do that using actual purchases.EssexHebridean said:

I think I'll chance hanging on to see if there is anything still available once I'm done with the TSB thing!artyboy said:
It's funny how, despite being very clearly labelled as a paperless account, they still want to send login details through the post! But like you, I'm going to wait for them until I fund either account. Might do the Santander current account too, just for the extra £20.EssexHebridean said:My Sunny Day Saver application is showing as Santander Edge and £0 but as already said, TCB have been very proactive about acknowledging that there is an issue there. I added a Simple Saver application last night and that has already tracked - correctly - at £25.
Just waiting on my login details and I'll then stick a small amount in each so they are funded - I can then take my time to decide how I go about using either - or possibly both - going forwards.0 -
Well you've been lucky then. I have £44 still pending from an energy switch via their own TopCashBack Compare from Nov last year, despite me chasing a number of times and pointing out that's it their own comparison site so they should stand behind. Soon be a year since the switch so I'll send them a sarcy Happy Anniversary chaser thenAlexland said:I've got the same TCB email - great service indeed.
In all the years of using TCB and thousands of pounds they have paid me then I can't recall any cashback issue that has failed to be resolved eventually - they really are the top cashback site to use.

I did say 'eventually' - I have sometimes had to chase cashback for several years.Shedman said:Well you've been lucky then. Alexland said:(and pay in £500 pm and setup 2 DDs)?This will trigger a £3 monthly fee and give you household bills DD cashback. It is not a requirement for the TCB cashback. To avoid the monthly fee do not pay in £500 pm and setup 2DDs.No switch needed and you can hold Edge along with the "standard" Everyday Current Account.

That's the theory, and I just tried... unfortunately (at least for me) there seems to be a bug with the intermediate screen you land on (after clicking through TCB but before getting to Santander) where you are asked for details to sign up for the £100 voucher - I put my name and email in and then...Alexland said:

"Something went wrong"
And I can go no further.
(Oh, and the T&Cs on that page say you have to do the 30 transactions within 60 days of account opening, no mention of the 31st December date)0 -
Oh yes sorry the 31st Dec date was for the debit card transactions for the monthly prize draw not the £100 voucher. Yes I found there seems to be problems at TCB linking through to the correct product after the middle details screen.

Santander have declined mine and my wife's £75 CASHBACK on the stocks and shares ISA within a week. We invested £100 which I thought was what was required. Is there something obvious we've done wrong?0

Oh, me too.s71hj said:Santander have declined mine and my wife's £75 CASHBACK on the stocks and shares ISA within a week. We invested £100 which I thought was what was required. Is there something obvious we've done wrong?
Were your investments to new ISAs (as in opened for this offer) or to existing account(s), as mine was?0
