Quick update.
Got a call from DCB legal this morning, with no pre-arranged date for a mediation call. The call lasted about 2 minutes. The lady didn't even know why she was on the call. she asked for my reference and I told her she is the one who called so she needs to tell me what this is about. After about 2 minutes of reading some notes, she offers a reduced fee of £150. I told her I've stated my case and won't be paying a penny. The best I could offer is £5 to get this time wasting case closed. She refused and advised I'll be hearing from the client.
I guess I have to wait and see what happens next.

The 8 steps tell you what happens next, which is exactly the same as the thousands of others on here
The CNBC transfer the case file to the court you nominated in your N180 DQ document, they will send you a letter saying so
That local actual civil court will write to you in the next few months
Meanwhile, you ignore dcb legal, no calls, no contact3 -
Got my hearing email through. its a 3 hour window for a call. Who has time to wait around for 3 hours? :-)
Is this standard?0 -
Flipping heck this case has moved fast and did you never have Mediation?
Hang on. You don't mean 'hearing'.
You mean it's just pointless old mediation. You know what to do because it's in the first 8 steps with 3 linked examples.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

and you dont need to hang around for it
just dont take the call if your doing stuff, it changes nothing3 -
Or if you answer you can just blurt out "I've already mediated with them with an offer of £5 and they refused. Thankyou. Goodbye." and hang up.

Definitely a mediation call, not a hearing !1
