More healing vibes for Joey.
Belated congratulations for all approaching their non-wedding.
I hope your tests are reassuring Eltee - forgive me if I'm thinking of the wrong person, but if it was you who mentioned ADHD then memory issues and anxiety are classic as well as the concentration (I'm delivering staff training on ADHD this month); more females with ADHD are diagnosed with anxiety rather than ADHD as the follow a different behavioural pattern to males. Apologies again if that's inappropriate/wrong person.
Managed my lake swim without wetsuit although it was colder than last week. The manager was trying to encourage people to listen to their own body to judge how far to swim/how long to stay in for/what to wear, so the display board with the temperature on was concealed until afterwards. We all had a go at guessing and we all guessed a higher temp than it actually was, but many people had swum for longer/further than they would have done if they'd known the temperature. Apologies for long sentence!!
Stopped off at Mr A on my way home from swim.
Ditto to vacuum the church.
I had a welcome email from DB this evening; he visited Mum and she is much better after antibiotics for a chest infection. So while I must be realistic about a 94yr old post-strokes, I'm happy for today.
I did shed a few tears after being sent the order of service from my school friend's funeral when I read that she'd been buried next to her beloved horses; the 'earliest' of which I remember her buying probably more than 50yrs ago when we were in pony club.
I've been doing a bit more 'work' today as the training session I've delivered 'live' twice this month is being repeated online next week. I'm not sure how it will go as I've been given less time to do it in - bearing in mind the 2 live ones overshot time, I'm not sure what to do.
I did a roast chicken this evening as I fancied it; how can it take 2 educated people over 20 mins to set the clock on the oven?????? Normally I only use the small top over which doesn't need the clock to be set, but for a roast I wanted the big over which has to have the time. We had flashing timers/duration/countdown you name it but stubbornly despite scanning the guidebook, not the time. It still didn't display the time but eventually deigned to heat up, so I don't know what we did. Give me back my Aga!!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all xx
I didn't change the clocks until I got up so I get an extra hour in my day 😉 Oh, and this means that the clock in my car will be correct again 🤣
The power of flylady vibes never ceases to astonish me. Joey slept, feathers up, until mid afternoon .... not a good sign. Then he suddenly perked up, still a tiny bit wobbly, but spent the evening hopping on and off his seed dish and throwing the seed everywhere. A new game which we seem to like that much that we're up and on and playing it again this morning. Happy Joey = happy Round 😍 Thank you for all the healing vibes.
Narc0 - it may have been me that mentioned ADHD. A few years ago there was a lot of media attention on autism not diagnosed in females...and I could have written a lot of the case histories. I remember being bewildered at primary school that everyone seemed to know the rules and I didn't. Not the written rules, I knew them, but the hidden rules that everyone operated by. And I couldn't find the book with those rules in.
But I didn't quite fit the parameters for autism in other ways. Recently I've read more about AuDHD and the lightbulb pinged again. The caffeinated squirrels that constantly zip through my head. I can sit still but my brain never stops. And then I read how the autistic side likes rules and routines, and the ADHD kicks against rules and routines. Me. That's me. I thought I was nuts, or an alien. I've been on pills for anxiety for decades by the way. I've not been formally diagnosed. I don't need to be. I'm just relieved to find answers and to know that I'm weird because my brain works differently.
Throw in the fact that everything points to Mum being narcissistic ( a whole nother story) and you end up with a Round. Mensa measured IQ of 151, but never had a normal relationship in her life.
Sorry. I went down my rabbit hole. Flying? Oh yes. Ermmm. I've made my bed, changed the clocks, changed Joey's seed and water, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, and supped a brew.
Second brew is required.
Love to all

Oh wow, lovely cake Jayzee, just a small slice for me please 🍰, will go nice with my cuppa!
thanks for the tip Narc0, Had a read up on ADHD and it's entirely possible - I've always been disorganised/untidy/messy & a bit scruffy, and at the same time, similar to Round, I hate messiness and want order and I can't switch off. People who don't know me well say to me ' I bet you have a place for everything and everything in it's place' and I always say 'only in my head" Things have improved from a year ago when I rediscovered Flylady, it gives me a bit more focus.
Round I often think I pass as human!
Today wil be much the same as yesterday, FUPA, PUPA, tidying, S&S-ing and another dust & hoover everywhere. It's a nice day so HHG as well. Then get thing ready for tomorrow. Am a bit nervous 🙀

Afternoon all. Glad Joey is picking up xBathroom cleaned this morning. Roast dinner(ish) cooked, eaten and cleared away. Dog has had two walks, the second one over an hour, and I'm about to go out for the third time, hopefully between showers. Cold wind here. I just heard the ice cream van in the street
