Morning all xx
Thank you iona. I do feel better in myself but I seem to have woken up with the post viral blues. Or wearing the head that says I'm existing but not living. Eugh - too deep for first thing on a Monday. Shudder.
Anyhoo. I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, dressed, supped two brews, eaten breakfast, fed the birds, put out the recycling, FUPA the laundry, FUPA the airer, completed Strands with two hints, completed Wordle in four, completed Connections with three lives lost, changed Joey's seed and water, and wasted a lot of time scrolling on my phone.
My Am@zon package should be delivered to PO today. I think I'll pick it up on my way home from the paid stuff tomorrow.
Ooo P & S are on their way. Better put kettle on

Morning all
I thought I'd escaped the worst of the virus thing OH & DS had, but I've been aching like bugg@ry for a couple of days and head feels all bunged up.
We're all under orders to look after ourselves and take things easy as we've our Civil Partnership next week (A.KA. our Not-Wedding)
We've opted for the very basic formalities, just us, 2 witnesses (my BFF & our DS). After 45+ years of being together we thought we'd take the plunge, but didn't want all the fuss/cost/headache of planning a wedding.
Also it'll protect ours and, ultimately, DS's finances when the inevitable happens. Very MSE 😄
Blimey, it sounds really gloomy but we are looking forward to it. I'm relieved I haven't got to stand in front of people, squeaking & stuttering my way through vows. OH is pleased he hasn't got to wear a suit, DS glad there's no speeches & BFF looking forward to the 'not-wedding' breakfast afterwards 🍳🥓🥪 and the formalities only take 10 mins 👍
Enough whittering (stupid woman), back to flying ... first WM load done, 2nd swishing. ✔️Exercises done
Today's plan
• Open windows✔️
• Air & remake bed✔️
• WM x2, line dry if poss between showers, then TD x2
• DW and WUDUPA the excess
• At least L1 from the list, plus the bonkers cupboard-neath-the-hob
• HHG - continuing operation October bulb-plant

Kitchen spotless - and not before time!
Not a fan of 'wet' cleaning when it's damp outside - much prefer to have doors/windows open to hasten drying. Still it's done.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I have also been in the kitchen, even following some of the list. All surfaces have been cleared and wiped down, shelves dusted, wm x 1 for the towels. The bins will happen later as it is bin day tomorrow. I wanted to clean the hob, but correctly reckoned on DD coming down and using it before she disappeared to BF for a few days. So instead..drum roll…I cleaned the small oven. Apparently the shelf holder thingys also come out, whoever knew that before. The oven isn’t pristine, but it is better. Or judging by the state of the water and the cloth, it should be better. I really would like to get some bulbs in the garden this afternoon, but every time I step out the door, it decides to rain.I am still trying to shake the lurgy, hence the rage cleaning of the oven with frustration. I may have to have another go at the recipe collection. In addition to countless cookery books, I have a lever arch file filled with recipes in plastic wallets, plus 3 other folders of recipes stuffed in. Not to mention supermarket recipe cards. I did get rid of 2 years of Good Food magazines earlier in the year. In my very weak defence.8

Afternoon all. All the best for your not-wedding next week Eltee
Glad you're on the mend Round.Pouring with rain most of the day and just started again. Most of a washload dried on the radiators, just DH's jeans on the airer which will go back on the radiator tonight when it comes back on.No actual cleaning apart from clearing everything after breakfast and preps, but I prepped all today's lunch first thing this morning and I made butternut squash curry ready for tomorrow so it can mellow in the fridge - and I'll have an easy lunch tomorrow.I don't want to go out in the rain but it's been a bit dull being in most of the day. I did go out for the paper this morning, dry going over and rain coming back.Hope everyone's OK x7 -
Yaay @eltee2 wishing you a fabulous “non wedding” day..
My husband & I got hitched last month in the same way (only had 2 randoms as witnesses) then skedaddled off on holibobs 🤣 Didn’t want it to become a “thing” for others to hijack so we did it on our own terms 😉
We eventually told peeps, just in our own time.
Have done little cleaning today as helping others with various things.
Have s/s kitchen and put DW going as we’ve just eaten.. ooh did flick hoover about before I left, so that’s a plus!
May attempt more before bed.. just a little tired now, sad that my B12 jab seems to have missed its mark this time.. I fear it’ll be a looong 8 weeks 😬"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇8 -
While I had the mop and bucket out I've cleaned the bathroom - I'm now pondering whether to assign that as tomorrow's job bcause I'll have done it and I'm meeting my sister at a garden centre tomorrow, for lunch.
I've also been swimming - and, although I am not a fast swimmer I am better than I was when I first started and can swim non-stop for quite some time now. Was 2 up and down and rest when I first started. I'm going to try and have a second swim later in the week. WM now full of towels and cleaning cloths to wash later - and I have a bright white dishcloth and a new scrubby for washing up. I've now used up my sponge and green scourers so I am moving onto 'green' scrubbies which are compostable.

Evening all.
Oooh, another Flylady CP, how exciting! Congratulations eltee and OH! Absolutely look after yourselves and take things easy this week xx
GWS vibes coming the way of round, eltee, Fayolle (and MrF), and anyone else who needs them xxx
I have succeeded in emptying my wardrobe and chest of drawers, and am delighted to report that Justin gave up a pile of the type of recycled plastic or polypropylene "fabric" covers that go over a jacket or dress on a hanger - I shall take these to the CS later this week. And DH has allowed me to re-home two engineer's overalls to the tool cupboard in the back porch, while he will take an old boiler suit and some oily driving gloves to the heritage railway when we go out on Saturday.
I've also stripped the bed and washed all the bedding; moved the small chairs (chairdrobes!), one bedside cabinet and my father's rotating bookshelf into the study bedroom where I shall be camping out for the next week; and taken the pictures off the walls and dusted their backs. All spare bedding has been crammed into the linen cupboard and - because I've been decluttering quite ruthlessly - all my clothes apart from outerwear and shoes fit in two large suitcases.
This evening I've made another 5½ jars of marmalade. That's it, I'm finished with jamming. Labelling is taking longer than I had hoped.

Best wishes to MadameMim2013 nd Eltee. Maybe Not-Weddings will become a new trend - much better than destination weddings.
Get well wishes to all of the poorlies. So many different bugs are holding rallies out there.9 -
