Then that is puzzling. I too opted out of reduce and earn. I'd have thought they'd know enough not to treat that as an opt out of the separate power hours scheme. Fortunately I was able to opt in to the Christmas day one without any follow-up.goatfaced said:
Sorry I wasn't clear. It was when she first opted in for Christmas day, they said she'd previously opted out, and did she want to opt back in to use this offer. But she's only opted out of reduce and earn.masonic said:
What do you mean opt back in? As in, they opted in to the Christmas day scheme once, but there was a glitch and they had to do it a second time? I've only opted in to Christmas day once, wondering if I need to fire up my tablet to check.goatfaced said:Yes, people who do octopus own scheme for electric savings had to opt out of 'reduce and earn' but were still able to do the 25 hours. And they are able to do this Christmas day scheme but we're asked to opt back in. It's just a weird glitch, probably.0 -

£9.86 disappointing 🤣1

I made £7.59, which isn't too bad and was more than my bill for that day of £6.76, it would have been more had the weather been worse, but it was surprisingly sunny and my solar generated that day was well over 4kwh. Although I have solar panels, I don't have a battery or electric car so there is a limit to what I can actually use. My usage on the uswitch app is showing as 33.53kwh, most of which was during the 8hr period.1

£4.71 for me, better than a slap in the face as they say! No complaints here.3

£7.63 for me.
And they based that on the correct Eco7 day rate, unlike the previous Power Hours offer.1 -
£2.50 for me - against a cost for the day of £3.09 inc S/C so I'm pleased with that. I think it was about the highest day we've had for use in the house without also using electricity over gas for heating because of negative or very low rates - definitely all the cooking to blame!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
