UK council introduce fine for hanging laundry outdoors
The only evidence I can find for this being true is an AI generated tiktok spoof of Keir Starmer on a particularly dubious site that has spread across the web. Several areas have bans on laundry on the balconies of flats that are for safety reasons, not for aesthetics. Some landlords have banned laundry on their properties for aesthetic reasons (mill owner Sir Titus Salt banned laundry outdoors for all the residents of Saltaire back in the 19th century), but it is not illegal and there is no £100 fine. This applies to the Westwood Park development in Beverley mentioned by @Midnighter - it is the private developer's rules, not the council's, and there is no £100 fine.
I would go for HOAX for this one.11 -

Friday 24th OctoberScientists create chocolate that burns calories as you eat it
I'm a little bit on the fence with this as many studies have shown that dark chocolate consumption can increase metabolism and burn calories after consumption but scientists didn't create it. There are no "negative calorie" foods that burn more calories than the food provides at the time of consumption so I am again favouring HOAX18
