@singhini
Did you make any progress with this? I was waiting for the 7 digit activation code, as instructed. Nothing had turned up, so I called them , and was told , no, you don't need to wait for that. Even though when I tried to log in for the first time, it asked for the code
Anyway......have no logged in, and applied for the switch.1 -
My activation code arrived yesterday but due to Vodafone outage i couldn't get online. So today ive just spent the last half hour setting all the bits and pieces up on the laptop (Passwords, special questions etc.......) aswell as downloading the App and setting that up aswell.
I will do the actual switch tomorrow (looks straight forward. Click on the link and make sure i have my new and old account details),
I'm assuming i will need my driving licence or passport details at this stage (as i haven't supplied them so far)?
EDIT: i just re-read your previous posts and unlike you, i never knew my sort code and account number untill just now when i used the activation code to get online.
All a bit strange:
You got notification straight away of account details and i didn't.
Ive now got an active account but so far have not provided any ID.
You got told you didn't need to wait for the activation code but there's no other way to log in.

Sounds ideal if money laundering is your hobby. Never heard anyhing like it. What about KYC.....aren't there laws they have to comply with ?singhini said:My activation code arrived yesterday but due to Vodafone outage i couldn't get online. They did search my credit file when i made the initial application for an account (i got an instant alert from the credit reference agency).
PS: i had to look up what KYC meant (i thought it was some type of fried food from southern USA) 🐔I have a tendency to mute most posts so if your expecting me to respond you might be waiting along time!0 -
I received my switch payment today. Account switch was last Wednesday, paid the £1k in and completed the debit card transactions. Pretty quick.

Thanks for the update 👍Elvie100 said:I received my switch payment today. Account switch was last Wednesday, paid the £1k in and completed the debit card transactions. Pretty quick.
I paid my £1,000 in today and did my first of five debit card transactions where i spent 49p (the T&C's say these transactions can be "of any value" ---> happy days)
*debit card payments include Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google PayI have a tendency to mute most posts so if your expecting me to respond you might be waiting along time!0 -
Can you initiate a switch from the TSB App? Can’t seem to find the option there.0

i did it through online banking (laptop)
Their website suggests it can be done in the App -----> login -----> go to "Products"

I did it through the app. My switch completed on Friday. I've paid in the £1,000, and I've used card twice. I'll use it three times today, so hopefully, that should do it .FIREDreamer said:Can you initiate a switch from the TSB App? Can’t seem to find the option there.1
