SJMALBA – or any else – Where is the Our Tariffs page?
Our Tariffs is on Octopus's website:
I think you'll need to apply via MSE Cheap Energy Club. No harm in phoning them to ask, though.

@QrizB Thanks, Phoned Octopus earlier and they said I'd need to apply via MSE website. Tried to apply there but can't find it. Followed link in email. logged in, then was sent to general tariff option results and its nowhere to be seen!

Others (looking for the BG tariff) have reported success by telling MSE CEC that you're with a different "current supplier". It's then given them the tariff they're looking for. Does this work for you and let you find the Octopus tariff?

    Hi all,

I am due to either renew or switch my tariff. I am currently with Octopus on their Octopus 12M Fixed October 2024 v2 tariff.

I am on a day/night tariff, but have asked for a single-rate option as it seems that I am actually wasting money on the day/night one.

The quote that Octopus have offered to me was under tariff code OE-FIX-12M-25-09-27 with the following rates:

    Electricity
    25.75 p per kWh
50.20 p per day standing charge

    Gas
    5.88 p per kWh
33.22 p per day standing charge

However, when looking at all current rates on the Octopus page, I stumbled upon this tariff which wasn't there a couple of days ago:

Money Saving Octopus 10M Fixed September 2025 v1

Description states "Get peace of mind by fixing your rates with this MSE exclusive tariff. This tariff has an exit fee of £25 per fuel."

    Electricity
    24.88 p per kWh
50.20 p per day standing charge

    Gas
    5.32 p per kWh
33.22 p per day standing charge

This is cheaper that what I am being offered, but I am unable to find this tariff via the Cheap Energy Club search or anything similar.

Am I missing something blatantly obvious? Thanks in advance
Yes, you are missing alternatives to Octopus. Had the same tariff and just moved to Outfox. Loyalty doesn't pay.
It's paying me quite nicely - I averaged under 15p/kWh for electricity last month on octopus!

Have you been able to fix your Gas?

Like you I'm also on Agile for Electricity, but it's not so easy to shift gas usage off peak, what with winter fast approaching!

IIRC the MSE CEC has been doing this for years with some suppliers.
Presumably the rationale is that they won't get a commission if you switch to a better tariff from your existing supplier, but they will if they introduce you as a new customer to a supplier that does pay them commission.
Same reasoning applies to many other price comparison websites, they default to showing only those that pay commission (often the more expensive ones) unless you spot the inconspicuous 'Show Whole of the Market' button.
So always say you're with some obscure supplier with only 10,000 customers...😈

Update for those who may just want to switch Gas but not Electricity to this tariff (e.g. Me, I'm on Agile Octopus and save a bucket load, no intention to switch leccy).

Called Octopus, they confirmed MSE tariff only available via MSE. The only way to get the gas tariff is to do the full MSE switch, then once completed contact Octopus to switch leccy back to Agile. But you'd incur the £25 exit fee as that's set by the MSE tariff. IMHO the additional saving not worth the hassle plus £25 cost.

I'll stick on Agile for leccy and Tracker for Gas and see how I go!

I've been on gas Tracker for years. Haven't found a better deal yet.

I considered fixing gas but going to ride it out on tracker. 4.63p for gas today,  lowest I've seen for a while.

A little off topic - I'm thinking of switching to Octopus when my fix with BG expires. Online reviews seem largely positive. Would you recommend them? Thanks.
