New hoover has arrived, assembled it, run it around, had to empty it three times
as it is picking up so much cat's hair the old one was not collecting, old one can be for garage / cleaning out cars and such like. I'll have another go with it tomorrow in daylight.
It is still drizzling. Fire is on cats in front of it, grooming themselves.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Very wild, windy and showery today but the bower on the church door stayed intact and we finished all the flowers for A's wedding. I was pleased with 2 of the 3 I did; went back and added a bit to the 3rd. They were difficult flowers to arrange, not ones I would have chosen but then it's not my wedding! Let's hope the sun comes out for the couple tomorrow afternoon.
I've got 2 more flower arrangements to do, for Mum and for SIL; so far I've done 1. If the weather isn't good tomorrow I may not swim so I can finish that, pack, tidy and do a bit more work on my presentation for next week!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Morning all. It's the weekend. Hope you're doing well today.
Wordle in four. Plans for today include visiting DD, taking Poppet with me so we get a change of scenery for her walk, picking up Poppets meds from vet, watching football and.....that's about it. I will try to do some flying apart from just dailies but can't promise anything!
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Morning all xx
It certainly is the weeeeekeeeennnd Jazee woot woot 💃
I hope everyone is safe and dry this morning.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, changed Joey's seed and water, completed Strands with one hint, completed Wordle in five, completed Connections with no lives lost, and supped a brew.
I'm glad to say that Joey picked up and is his usual busy self again. 😍
Saturdailies List to be written. Second brew and breakfast first methinks.
Although I now have floor in every room the whole house is a tip. I'm going to try the original Flylady one zone a week. Even if I only manage 5 minutes each day on my paid work days that's 5 minutes more than happens now.
The established Saturdailies means the basic basics are done each week: pots washed, laundry processed, bins emptied, etc. Time to move up a step. Two days on Zone 1: Entrance/ Dining Room / Front Porch. I don't have a porch; or an entrance really 🤔 unless you count the three foot square between the bottom of the stairs and the front door, with LR door to the side. And I don't have a separate dining room, but I have a dining end to the kitchen. So they're the places that'll get the 5 minutes today and tomorrow...bottom of the stairs and table end of the kitchen. I can do that.
Brew 2 first though. Join me?

List written.
I'm showered, etc, and dressed.
WM is swishing first load.
I've fed the birds, put out the rubbish and recycling, and put new bin bags in bins.
Remembered to take a new bottle of bleach and a new tablet of soap up to the bathroom when I returned the emptied laundry hamper. So, bleach sploshed down the loo.
Coffee now. Join me?

Just checked flight arrival from Funchal because, OF COURSE, it hasn't occurred to DD that I might be concerned about flying given the storm (insert much-missed roll eyes smily). It arrived a couple of hours ago.
Decorator is here giving ceiling another coat and probably the woodwork too. I'm delighted to announce that all brown wood has gone!
Can't do much though I have rotated the cushions on a sofa and vacuumed them - but that was caused by me looking for a missing knitting needle.

That sounds like a realistic plan Round. Good luck with it. All progress is to be celebrated and it does add up.We had a day out on Thursday and found a wonderful pub in Beesands, which is not where we were intending to go but was recommended by the car park attendant at Start Point, somewhere I've wanted to visit for quite a while to view Hallsands, a village lost to the sea in 1917 after a bar was dredged to build Plymouth Breakwater. The sun even came out for us while we were having lunch.Other than a stint at the Foodbank on Friday I've not been up to doing a lot, but we are staying on top of things in the house with little and often. We put the central heating on on 1 October and I'm either turning it off or turning down the temperature when it's not needed. I can't face another winter of cold.Better is good enough.4

Afternoon all. Very windy here too, we had rain overnight then a dry morning then a shower a little while ago. I managed to dry a washload during the dry morning. Not much else done apart from the crosswords in today's paper and then reading the paper. DH still not right so he didn't get up until about 11 am and now he's watching cycling. DS still not right from his cataract operation, blurred vision and a headache. I suggested that if there's no change after the weekend he might want to ring the hospital to check this is normal. Apparently a lot of people get instant good results but I expect there are plenty who don't. Unfortunately he has had to miss work because he's not safe to drive or operate the machinery at work.Hope everyone's OK, glad to read that Joey is better x5

The morning started windy but sunny, washing pegged out of whirly.Went walking, got home thought I'd take washing now dry in, glad I did the heavens have opened and it is now even more gusting wind than before.Cat seem to have a dormouse in the drain area of the conservatory, so they are sitting 'guard' over it.Hair coloured, looks better, (grey is covered over)New hoover used again, I am so ashmed at the amount of 'fluff' it is getting up, it is not al lcat's hair, but I am hoping that will ease given time.Had 2 hours free electric today so ran DW, charged up batteries of various items, made crumble.Money shuffle and check carried out for the month.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning
That was scary, I had to sign in, not done that for a very long time, thought I might have lost you all.
How's Joey Round?
Our old dog has had a couple of accidents inside this week and is now wetting in his crate almost every night. He is 16 and we always said that if this became a regular thing we wouldnt let it continue, he's always been such a clean dog. DH however seems to refuse to accept that the end might be coming. I sense trouble ahead.
The September challenge has helped me declutter but it's been a busy month and there is more to do. Today I need to get the clean washing put away, do some home admin and give the kitchen a good clean. We also need groceries which I hate doing on a weekend.
Have a good Sunday all x6
