When the account matures into their Fixed Term ISA Maturity account, does anyone know if it assigns a new account number or just retains existing details?

I believe the sort code as well as the account number can change.

Coincidentally, I've just received a fixed rate ISA maturity letter from Nationwide in which they highlight that if you transfer from one of their fixed rate cash ISAs to another, the new account will now get a new account number and sort code so this part of the process has indeed changed since I last did this (as mentioned in some recent posts).

It doesn't mentioned what happens if it matures into the default 'Fixed Term ISA Maturity' account, though.
