    Hi everyone

    We've still not been able to reproduce this in a way that can easily be investigated by our provider.

    One thing I'd like to check - are all users seeing this using the Menu Hider fix?
    If you are, could you try not using it to see if you have the same issue?

    I am using that fix.

    I've noticed the issue seems to be almost always when I've got two or more tabs open and I'm flicking between them. E.g. Quite often if a new regular saver is launched I'll have both the Archived and Discussion regular saver threads open at the same time as I usually copy/paste the summary from one regular saver from the discussion thread, paste and edit into the archived thread, copy/paste it back into the lists on p1 of the main thread and post it in the archived thread.

    If I have the discussion thread open on one tab, then open the archived thread on the second tab and then return to the discussion thread on the first tab it the scroll bar almost always disappears.

    The same also goes for when I've got multiple tabs of any description open, i.e. if I'm using MSE on one tab, then open a second tab to look at the weather, returning to MSE sometimes triggers the scroll bar to disappear. I've just done this as I type this comment as an experiment and returning to finish this post has caused the scroll bar to disappear.

    @J_B

    A little while back, I noticed that the menu behaviour had changed. When you hover over the titlebar, and the white menu appears, it now removes the scrollbar and disables scrolling:

    ...But the scrollbar reappears when the menu hides.

    So I'm just wondering if any issue could be menu related. Including if it is related to the menu fix some users are using.

    I first raised this in September but it's still the same … and chance of a fix?

    Hi @J_B

    I haven't seen this issue since I stopped using the menu hider fix.

    If you're using it, I suspect it's something to do with the fix sometimes hiding the menu, but the page doesn't realise it's hidden. It thinks the menu is open and so it stops page scrolling.

    The easiest solution would be just to allow the menu to show.

    In the coming months, hopefully weeks, a feature will be released where we have the ability to actually change the code of the menu. Then we should be able to change the menu to delay longer before showing, or click-to-view. This would be a proper fix rather than the 'hack' on top we have now.

    I switched off the menu hider but then after five seconds I realised how annoying it was, so put it back on 'hide' again.

    I prefer the irregular freezing scroll 😁
