    I closed mine on Monday, opened a new one on Tuesday, CoP didn't work Wednesday but did today Thursday

    Whoops yes I do.
    When setting up the SO to fund the account in the first place, ensure that you set the date of last payment to the 12th month. That way it stops automatically. That way you end up with 12 monthly payments + the original £200 you funded with.

    My RS matured yesterday so I moved the cash to my flex a/c (and then onwards as I had the funds earmarked for something in particular) but opened the new RS this morning and transferred in the first payment from the flex a/c with no problem. I fund it manually as my income (pension) comes in at different time of the month so don't have to worry about standing orders. Works for me.
