And has the card company clarified whether the claim was processed as a section 75 one or via chargeback?  The former is full and final settlement from the card company themselves, but the latter is recovered from the merchant, who has the right to challenge it, or, even if not disputed during the chargeback process, can still pursue the debt thereafter....
All I know is I filed the complaint on 23 September.    My banks said they contacted the merchant the following day.   That was the last I heard until Monday morning when I received the refund.
Sounds like chargeback rather than section 75 then, so not necessarily the end of the matter.

I'm not getting the bank contacted retailer next day. As chargeback has no direct contact by bank with retailer.
Your bank via visa/Mastercard system to retailers merchant bank, who will then contact retailer. If retailer rejects then process is reversed. If they do not reject. It is a default win after 45 days. But does not stop retailer going legal to reclaim funds.

S75 could involve direct retailer contact (very rare), but for £104.40 simply is not worth the staffing cost. Retailer can simply say get lost & bank can not do anything.

My comment was based on interpreting 'bank contacted merchant' loosely as meaning 'bank processed chargeback request to the merchant's bank' rather than literally picking up the phone to the merchant, plus seeing that the refund was paid to OP after about 45 days.
