Pension, Final Salary - My Brain Hurts!
Comments
-
Sounds wrong - that would be true if you had a preserved pension but you are still an active member (?)
But for your sake I hope it is right! Let us know when you get the cash.
When I part retired from CS and took classic pension it wasn't backdated to age 60, or even increased for late payment except by reference to final salary.0 -

So I was just now told (on the 7th phone conversation with TP) that I should receive £29.9k backdated to me from turning 60 after all....Is there any benefit from repeatedly calling them? Unless you are transferred to a senior administrator, you are talking to individuals who mostly have very little knowledge of the scheme. It is much better to do anything complex in writing/email, where it is much easier to refer to someone with the appropriate knowledge and get replies checked. There is every chance the administrator you spoke with either thought you were talking about a deferred award, or has previously only been involved with deferred awards and assumed that active members are treated in the same way.2 -
Hope that turns up, but best of luck either way.
