Starling used The Sunshine Company and Wolff Olinsdavid72 said:
I wonder if it was the same talentless schoolkids who similarly ripped off Nationwide with the cackling crow of doom?
If you are talking about the 2023 rebrand for Nationwide that was New Commercial Arts2 -
Starling stopped being competitive/innovative a long time ago when compared to likes of Monzo.
They now seem more focused on opening up in USA and business side eg. Services like clearbank to other companies
Luckily if you don’t like a bank anymore it’s very easy to switch

Really? Since as a Monzo customer, I can see Starling does some things for free that Monzo charges money for, like virtual cards and being able to pay from pots using those cards. Also whilst Monzo lets you create your own categories (with a paid tier) Starling has way more default categories for free, which should be enough for most people compared to Monzo's. And the "connected card" feature is quite handy too for some people, something Monzo doesn't have. I still prefer Monzo overall personally, I like the connected bank features, the perks from the "perks" paid tier is great value for me personally, and I'm more fond of the user experience. But Starling is a close second.Futuristic said:Starling stopped being competitive/innovative a long time ago when compared to likes of Monzo.0 -
I don’t mind the update but is this the best Starling could do?Starling seems to have stayed very static for a long time with no new offerings. I suppose this is good in one way but where’s the ideas, where’s the development, where’s the innovation?1
