Was first in queue at Blackpool after travelling since 5.15am and thanks to all posters about this store it was fantastic, saw loads of people with shopping buggies loaded to the brim and then some!!!! What a lot of very nice staff too!! Was quite alot of stuff spread out on three floors, lots of magazines too.
I was a sight with fifteen bags on the train but got so many bargains.

Can anyone advise where I should visit tomorrow? Lancaster or Preston or Manchester...Arndale?

    Thanks again Wendie.

fifteen bags  That's a sight!!! How did you manage??:D

Don't forget reading has 3 stores (sort of).The one in the town centre at the oracle, the one at the medway precinct in tilehurst and the much bigger store at calcot savacentre.

I live in the town centre, and don't really know my way around and have never been to tilehurst or calcot savacentre... I figured with the Oracle next door, I don't need to go anywhere else for my shopping. Not even London!! I really love Reading.

And Reading does have 2 other stores within walking distance, that you do not mention: broad street (in front of waterstones) and in the train station (much smaller).

After the oracle I went to the broad street one and they had a different selection... some of those boots spa, magnolia and lavender hand gifts for £2. Really cheap.

See you around DitzyLips and anyone else from Reading!!
  • The answer to this may be in a previous post but does anyone know what the cheapest thing is to buy with the £5 voucher you get at the till? Olay hand cream wouldnt go thro for me today SA very nice, tried, but said it has to be facial.

First post on thread lists them all HTH

Went to Luton Arndale (with brother, mother and DS). Plan already agreed - brother looks after DS and mother helps me fight through the sales. :o

Well done to everyone who managed to grab some bargains. I didn't do too badly myself :D

ShowmetheMoney, I was at the Luton branch this morning too:D I arrived at 8.45 and spotted a lady coming out carrying loads of bags. I could feel my blood pressure rising at the thought of missing out on the bargains:rotfl: thankfully, there was still loads of stuff left. Although I couldn't find any olay gift sets or funky fish bags (for DD). The staff must've had them:D

I was served by a lovely SA. I asked if I could split my shopping up to earn more skincare vouchers and she was more than happy to do this. It's great when you get a nice SA. It makes up for all times you've had a bad one:D

After taking all my goodies home, I decided I'd go back for a second spending spree this afternoon. I couldn't believe the shelves were almost empty:eek:

I bought a glitter babes nail bar for DD and that didn't go through @75%off
It was priced @12.00 I paid 5.00 and the packaging was damaged too, but it was the last one on shelf. SA said not everything is 75% off:confused: just looked online and it is full price:confused::confused:

Has anyone been to Oxford street this afternoon? Is there much left? I am thinking of popping in there on my way home from work tomorrow...to spend more money...I hope the other half doesn't read this:o

i have spent all my points and want to go in tommorow, there were lots of alchol gift sets in store and i mean a lot, after paying for the shopping i sent hubby to car park with all the bags so i could buy my little boy a treat and staff were telling people that the toys (v-tech) were not on sale, one lady was goin to put hers back and i told her to take it to the till just in case it was, i knew it was 75% off, she got at the discounted price. Staff were putting toys on a shelf with no sale sign i think to bag the discounts for themselves:rolleyes:
