A Samsung Galaxy S9 for £230 is definitely to good to be true territory.Exodi said:
A S9 which you might expect to retail around the £500-£700 range, for £229 new is deep in 'too good to be true' territory.
I wonder whether this is an online adaptation of the scam that was doing the rounds on the Costas a few years back?
They draw you in with a very good offer on a Galaxy S from a couple of generations back, take your money on credit card, and then go out to get your device from the stockroom only to return with some yarn about the last units having got damaged and offer a "better" product for only a few Euro more. If you believe the spiel, you pay the extra and walk out with the "better" product only to find that the "better" product is a real budget offering that you could have grabbed for £50 on Amazon. If you stand your ground and hold firm for the Galaxy S, they eventually refund your CC payment.
All quite clever as it means no laws are broken.0 -
So I bought the Galaxy Tab A9+ at £122 from Amazon. Works fine for YouTube, TikTok etc. LCD screen doesn't have the deep blacks of the S9's screen, no S pen and the menus are not as snappy as the S9 but you get what you pay for.0

The TabA9 is available with either 4Gb or 8Gb of Ram. The 8Gb version is smooth and fast for normal use.BFBW said:
Both lower end tablets. Personally, for the budget, I would not consider anything less than 8GB of RAM and preferably with a 4G/5G modem.Exodi said:The 'S' series of tablets is Samsung's Flagship, the most recent being the S11 which launched this month.

Based on what you've said, I'd definitely suggest the Tab A9 - it's their current entry level offering and can be picked up for £99 in Argos:

If you'd prefer a bigger screen than 8inch, the A9 Plus is available for £122.99 (absolute bargain price):

I saw that on this thread and thought I'd grab one - you seem to have sold them all out.Exodi said:
