I average £94 per month on electricity, no gas, driving around 800 miles a month on an EV which is almost entirely charged at home (I might Supercharge on a long trip but that is not counted in the mileage figure above and I occasionally plug in at the gym for free electricity, but probably only 20-30 kWh a month) . I do not use the heating much as my flat is well insulated and I tend not to feel the cold, it is a flat but also 105 sq meters so comparable to a one bed house overall.

My water averages £21.46 a month with this year's price increases, that is on a water meter (Thames Water) and is me showering around ten times a week, a few baths a month when my little niece and nephew stay over, 6 loads of laundry, 3 runs of the dishwasher and week, as well as normal background usage.

I do not have a TV license as I do not watch live TV/iPlayer, I may £36 a month for a 500Mbps internet connection, £26 for an unlimited SIM only contract.

What does the Epc matter ...are you a average uk household ?

Its up to you to get the best deal on each of your bills asp as no one on here can do that for you .

MSE could help choosing providers that suit though ...the single person 25% discount has already been mentioned so thats a start as council tax can be one of the larger bills .
Realistically you work through them one by one and keep a eye on them and MSE

An EPC that is 6 years out of date is totally meaningless.  If you have gas central heating your daily standing charges for gas and electricity are going to be in the region of 80p per day = £25 per month.  Water likely to be (optimistically) £30 to £40 per month.  Any gas and electricity usage will depend on the package you can sign up to once you have moved from the 'deemed' supplier.

An average household would need to spend £457 per year on heating, hot water and lighting in ... This is based on average costs in 2019 when this EPC was created.
Energy costs have roughly doubled since 2019.

4,282 kWh per year for heating, 2,288 kWh per year for hot water
That's just heat (gas). A bit more than the 6000 kWh/yr I guessed but not by much.

Just bought a one bed cluster house, my budget wil be tough for a few years I think.
I need to know approx figures for
Council tax band b with single person discount
    Gas
    Electric
    Water
Can anyone help estimate the monthly bills?
I think I will be a light user eg no tumble dryer, no bath,  cook with microwave.
I typed into ChatGPT something like "list all my potential expenses" and it pulled the following information which you might find useful <snip>
That shows why you should never trust AI.
Many entries, possibly even most, will at best be irrelevant and at worst highly misleading.  They relate to North America (big clues are the use of terms such as vacation, diapers, trash, transportation, tires, licenses, cell phone, HOA, IRA, DMV, 401(k), 529 plan) but the UK's systems and methodology are often very different.

OP would be better served by using one of the Statement of Affairs calculators more commonly seen on the debt-free board, or at least the headings from one. Something like this:

I would certainly recommend a spreadsheet overestimating everything for your first year.  Better to have a tight first year than end up owing money.  Then future years you will be able to be more accurate & bearing in mind it is rare for anything to go down.  If you get too far ahead you can always pay extra off your mortgage.

I'd suggest asking whoever you bought the property from and/or your new neighbours to get some idea of costs.

No need to be so gratuitously rude.
