Also which is cheaper to run? I already decided against a tumble dryer due to running cost.

Don't have any first hand experience, but out of curiosity, I compared an under counter Bosch fridge with a similar under counter freezer. KTR15NWEAG and GTV15NWEBG models.
The fridge claims annual energy consumption of 91 kWh, and the freezer 164 kWh.
So, slightly more energy used by the freezer, but if you consider how often you open the door on a fridge compared to a freezer, and I would think those figures might be even closer.

But that particular fridge doesn't have a freezing area.

If you are letting the running costs dictate, IF a freezer worked out cheaper, don't forget to factor in the costs of wasted food that goes off because you can't keep it cold in the fridge.

I have got away with just a freezer for the past few years but have a north facing kitchen that is not heated so it never gets warm even in summer. Perhaps an "icebox" for keeping stuff cool might help as well and could be tucked into a cabinet. If I did not have a freezer my food costs would be a lot higher, one thing I can't do without, and often get a double discount by buying in relative bulk.

I do use milk butter cheese
Kinda like the freezer idea as I like the steam bags for green veg, microwave them in 3 mins and done.

    What about it, specifically?
    • It's a larder fridge, so no frozen food compartment. If you want to storefrozen food you'll need a separate freezer.
    • It's rated to use 85kWh a year. At current prices that's about £11-worth (will depend on your tariff).
    • It'll fit into a 50cm-wide slot under a standard 90cm-high worktop.

Personally, I couldn't live without a freezer. I could probably get by without a fridge most of the year, but I would rather put one in a living room/hallway/bedroom than go without.

OP you have another thread on white goods:
I see there's an under-counter fridge-freezer mentiond in that thread.

So where are you going to keep your milk, butter and cheese instead? And any meat that you buy if you’re not vegetarian?
Although if you are economising buying ready prepared green veg is not the best way to be going about it.

ETA, having read your other thread, two days ago, you were decided on the under-counter fridge with freezer bit. What has changed since then or are you just rehashing the same question?

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
