We got our confirmation today, Bideford Bay in April. I hope it's nice there. The confirmation makes it look as though we still owe money (for the entertainment passes and linen), but I don't want these, so I am not going to pay.

carvan parks usually refund you the linen charge at the end of your holiday and to use facilities/entertainment you have to buy passes:D

surely this is only the deposit: not the £10 or so charge for clean linen. We always take our own as we prefer it and don't pay up front for linen.

At last the invoice came today. Linen and 4 entertainment passes were included. So I did as usual and rang them, they took off the linen charge and 2 passes, as there are only 2 of us going, so I paid by D/D over the phone.... Sorted...

Seems to have taken Haven longer this year to send through, but then these hols are getting more popular every year, not surprising at these prices really though.

Glad u posted that, received my invoice today and was worried I would have to pay for 4 entertainment passes even though there's only 2 of us (and baby), we'r going to haven also, cheers

Hi Red Cat,
Make sure that you phone them, on the contact number given, to tell them that you don't want linen and entertainment passes, otherwise they will just cancel your holiday as 'balance unpaid'. Once you have phoned to tell them, they will probably send you another invoice with the extras taken off.

Off to Cornwall Haven on 30th May - Got our confirmation through yesterday, with the extra charges for 4 Entertainment passes and linen and Electricity!

Will call the today to get the extra passes and linen taken off too - thanks for the heads up.

Yay, didnt think we would get anything as we only asked for the Easter school holidays and time is getting on. We received confirmation today - we got Hendra Holiday Park, Newquay Mon-Fri along with our friends so we are really pleased.

in some parks you really do need the passes and in others you wont use them at all.
last year i went to the haven near hastings and they had security guards who wouldnt let you near the shop, swimming pool or entertainment centre without passes :mad:
then later in the year we went to caister haven and we didnt need to show them at all

both of these times we were refunded the £10 linen charge

i got my booking confirmation through for a long weekend in april at weymouth :T

and they have cashed the other cheque so should be getting one for the end of the year too!!!

we are going there too ,but in May

as mentioned make sure you ring the park, to have the linen / passes taken off
