while i dont rate the allhallows area much myself it is a great base for visiting places like canterbury & hastings.

In the paper it says that the ferry only takes you to Calais, does that mean they expect you to drive to wherever you want to go in Europe from there? If that'ss tru do you HAVE to take the ferry or can you arrange your own flights?!!?

two years ago we went to la carabasse at Vias plage (Siblu) with the sun, got a whole week. Got cheap flights to Gerona, hired a car, had one night in a hotel and then 7 on site, drove to Barcelona and had an apartment for three nights before the cheap flight home. The flights would be more expensive if we had just had them to fit in with the sun holiday so we made the most of it.

La Carabasse is a nice site, lovely pool. If you are willing to drive a fair distance there are amazing sights in the Languedoc. Or Vias has a nice sandy beach, lagooned with breakwaters so pretty safe. HTH someone

that price includes the ferry

so if you wanted to make own travel arrangements,it would still be the same price....

you just wouldnt use that part of the booking
driving in france isnt too bad ,and :eek: many people do it

also the drive to holland & belgium is supposed to be fine too ?

wouldnt fancy the drive to spain / italy etc from calais though :rotfl:

do you mean if booking through the sun? it's ten pounds per person per night but i think under 2's were free.

Booked on the 20th immediate confirmation money has been taken however nothing through the post.

Anyone else still waiting when they have booked on line?

My daughter has only just got her letter of confirmation despite sending it at the first opportunity and her cheque being cleared weeks ago.
She has been given her last choice of place (presthaven sands) and a 3 night stay.
The letter says she has been given one of her choices, yet she only put down dates for a 4 night stay. So it is not totally true.
Does anyone know if she can get them to change it for a 4 night stay or will she have to take what she has been given.
