once its booked its booked

i always thought that when it said "certain parks not available on certain dates " etc

it meant they are not open ? ie some have different opening seasons

some dont start the season til march or easter, and others open in feb
some shut in oct ,some are open til nov

but Butlins is open all yr round

some parks get hired out exclusively by a big group of people. once when i tried to book hafan y mor i was told it was hired out exclusively to some group or other, i can't remember who.

Can't believe that people are selling the online refs on eBay, is nothing sacred?!

I had 2, could have made myself a quick £20, but TBH, far happier that they have gone to good use on here, I have saved money from other people's info, so works both ways.

I was very kindly given a reference number for which I am most grateful.

I just wanted to ask - I haven't received a confirmation e-mail yet and the money hasn't been taken from my bank yet either so I was a little worried although I have got my Holiday Confirmation form with a booking reference saying payment successful, which I printed off.

Am I worrying for nothing?

yes camps do get booked out by certain groups at times of the year, for instance butlins in minehead, not sure of the others, for the 3 weeks around easter get booked out by spring harvest(or god squad as they are affectionately known), so nobody can go on holiday at that resort for the 3 weeks around easter, unless you book through spring harvest, HTH Dave

p.s yes butlins minehead will have the 18th of febuary down as half term as that is when all the schools in this area are off for school.

Oooh I have just received confirmation of my booking via email. They haven't question the dates - but this was The Sun not Butlins themselves. But my holiday is on the 18th February and in the email it says I should receive additional stuff from the park itself, and if I haven't heard from the park before 1st March to contact the number given. LOL Well I hope I do!!
