    We have these and they work really well. You can control the lights using smart apps etc. too, but having actual switches on the wall means visiting in-laws don't have to go on a training course to be able to turn the lights on!
    Physical switches are also a good idea if your network goes down or a server company goes bust somewhere, etc..

    Depends which ecosystem you are bought into, some work locally without having to go via the internet. 

    Plus some physical switch solutions arent traditionally wired and are just as dependent on network connections.

    If you trip one do all the others come on at the same time?

    Presumably you can't do what we do which is have the under cabinet lights on all the time during waking hours irrespective of if someone has passed by in the last X minutes/hours?
