Seller asking for photos of my body with measurements

"Far East" includes places like Japan which has a very strong reputation but fully agree, even if you explicitly look at China there are many great companies there unfortunately there are lots of not so good ones too. One of my favourite menswear shops are based in HK though in practice its their NYC branch that I visited in person.UnsureAboutthis said:
Re "far eastern company," you've hit the nail on the head but there are decent ones out there.1 -
You need to be very clear that you are returning for a full refund as the size is incorrect t.
You are confusing the issue somewhat by saying “the main reason for returning is that is does t look like the picture”1 -
How would that help here, when there are no visible 'change of mind' rights?sheramber said:Since they want the measurements to get you the right size tell them you no longer wish to purchase a dress so measurements are not necessary.
Personally I think that 'not as described' (in terms of compliance with images) is a stronger case than asserting 'incorrect' size - even if OP can demonstrate that the dress doesn't comply with the sizing guide on the company's website, they do have caveats like "Size chart is provided as a general sizing guide only. Specific measurements vary with each style".LightFlare said:You need to be very clear that you are returning for a full refund as the size is incorrect t.

It doesn't sound like you're able to sell it locally to mitigate your losses.
I therefore would work on the basis that you're highly likely to raise a dispute via PayPal...
So take photos of size differentials, design changes, flaws, labels and anything else that backs up your case.
Send it back tracked (ideally via the same method it was sent) to the business address in China.1 -
Problem is this has to go back to the far east. Not cheap & it is well known for these companies not to take the goods back when arriving at customs. Could be t hey get charged by customs. So gets returned back to sender.LightFlare said:You need to be very clear that you are returning for a full refund as the size is incorrect t.

Retailer can then reject any PP claim as goods not returned.
TBH, this co go to great lengths to explain sizing of their products, when you check the links at the bottom of the page.
Even to the point "There are no standard sizes for dresses in the UK or the EU, therefore pretty much every manufacturer is using their own chart. Please check our size chart for details."Life in the slow lane2 -

There are times (too often) where this section of the forum gets bogged down discussing theoretical rights when, even assuming they are correct, there is little or no chance of being able to enforce them!3 -
I am referring to the request for body measurements which the app is not happy about doing. The seller says they want them to get the right clothes . If the OP does not want a replacements then no need for measurements.eskbanker said:

OP swiftly corrected the reference to 'right' clothes, which was meant to read 'tight' clothes - there hasn't been any mention of the seller wishing to send replacements.sheramber said:
