    UPDATE

Finally had my letter through from the local court with a court date, it is scheduled to be an over the phone hearing on 29/04/2026 where I have up until 2 working days prior to submit evidence etc.

However, the claimants deadline for paying the court fee (£27) is 01/04/2026, I'll hold out as long as possible as I suspect some time in mid april I'll hopefully get a copy of the N279.

"I have up until 2 working days prior to submit evidence".

It won't be that close to the hearing. That'll be the final date for emailing the bundle you will have had to have filed & served earlier than that, during April probably.

Read page 2 again. It will be there. But we expect you to be showing us your NoD by the end of the month anyway!

ECP single PCN cases never go to hearings.

You are correct, evidence has to be submitted by 16:00 on 8th April 2026. I'll have everything ready to send before hand if I don't receive the NoD I'll submit it just before the deadline.

I've drafted an initial WS along with evidence (yes with the help of AI), it considers all points of the case and anything relevant that's listed in the newbies thread, curious (if you can be bothered reading it) what your thoughts are and if it may be a little overkill or if it's sufficient enough. All personal info is redacted at this stage up until submission

I think remove the repetition of the summary in the WS and replace it with B9 (Mazur) from your skelly but adding the fact that your Claim Form was signed off by Sarah Ensall. You don't need AI for that: search the forum as everyone's recent WS in all DCB Legal cases at your stage have included words about Sarah Ensall. Copy!

And re the bit about Beavis and Somerfield and the false fee, add the words currently in the newly edited Template Defence, specifically about HHJ Moloney's first decision in Beavis and quote his para 3.4.

Attach the transcript from his Cambridge judgment which can be Googled and found linked in a Supreme Court blog from 2015. It's important because it proves that the DVLA look-up and costs of the template letter-chain up to and including LBC were (and had to be) already covered by the £85 PCN. Read his judgment. It spells it out.

Your WS needs a statement of truth (don't ask AI for the SoT or it'll give you the 5 years out of date one-liner). Then it'll need signing & dating.

It did have a SoT but I missed it when pasting it in (whether that's sufficient or needs rewriting), I've amended point 4 on the WS and B2 in the skeleton arguemtn to include the points made above (highlighted just for the purpose of this thread)

You have an orphan paragraph after 3.6 (all paragraphs require a number) and it should state "I provided" not "the defendant provided"

    The sub heading should say

    'Unauthorised individual'

    not 'authorized individuals'.

And you need to provide a copy of HHJ Moloney's judgment because it's hard to find.

I've now had an email from DCB Legal advising they're willing to make an offer, would you advise going back saying I will not be paying a penny and I'm willing to settle this with the courts or just ignore
