FedEx can't just create "made up" invoices. they would have to be able to prove - to a court - that thay were valid invoices and that you owed them the money. If they've "made up" the invoices they wouldn't be able to prove that you owed them that money
(In any case - and I may be mistaken about this - my understanding is that if you owe a debt to FedEx, then controlaccounts can't sue you unless FedEx have formally and legally assigned the debt to them, and you would be notified of this in writing. but I may be wrong...)
NB - The above assumes you had paid FedEx all you owed them (1) on time before you incurred any further charges to FedEx, and (2) before they passed it on to controlaccounts. Only you know whether this is what you did or not - we only know what you tell us.Jenni x1 -
Surely all these charges should relate back to shipment numbers which should be easily cross referenced.1

Thanks for all the help. FedEx sent a payment link to have the shipment released. I paid the total requested at that time. I only knew there was a different invoice with a different total when controlaccount sent the letter (months later), so when I got hold of a fedex agent they took the extra charge at that time. So I paid the original invoice before and the extra charge in the changed invoice (I knew nothing about) after.0

Do you know why FedEx issued a second, revised invoice "months later"? Why was it necessary and whose fault was it the first invoice was incorrect?
So long as you paid everything to FedEx within the time you were meant to pay them, I don't see how FedEx or controlaccounts can legitimately chase you.
FedEx can't blame you for not paying a charge that you didn't know about until they sent you a corrected invoice.
But as I've already said, only you know the circumstances and the timeline and whether you paid everything in a timely fashion or not.

If you are happy you've paid everything and if FedEx really passed on an invoice showing a "Nil" balance then I think I'd just ignore controlaccounts
You only need to do something if you get a letter before action and/or a court claim from them.
Come back here if you do.1 -
Okay. Thank you.0

Just an update. An extra £222.57 has been added to the total controlaccounts wants. I have a shipment in the UK with a FedEx charge of £222.57, which I paid on 06/09/25. FedEx won't speak to me and controlaccounts won't give any details, so I don't know if that is what this charge is for.0

When you are making these payments are you actually assigning them to the tracking number of the shipment at the time?
As others have said, they need to prove what and where these amounts have come from and why.0 -
